In light of where we find ourselves i cant think of anyone better suited to unite the fans and regalvanise the club then DC in league 2. If we could go back to that point he had to replace our successful squad to have a proper go at league 1 but give him the help he needed with recruitment, infrastructure and the new training ground we would all give anything for that.
B***** even if we win league 2 will leave a bad taste with many fans. Hes horrible.

Would DC be remotely interested?, I very much doubt it, I think DC & GC, two of our most successful Managers in the past decade understand only too wael that we are a ruderless ship, not worth boarding.

He’s only just gone to port vale. He isn’t coming here.
Stewy was next to him all through the good days, in fact it fell apart when he left. What is stewy doing these days? Is this his destiny?
Gareth Taylor could be interesting if he wants to step away from the ladies game. He is highly rated coach. Though the same could be said for Garner, so if we get another excellent coach/manager novice, stick a Lenny Lawrence beside him. Like...
Stewy or Taylor with Gary Johnson?
Anyone think B***** is better option than that?

Get over it. That's the thing isn't it. DC had a great couple of years here, but he really had lost it come the end (and it didn't start that well either) He was the right man at the right time, just as Gerry Francis was once , Holloway was once and to a degree, Coughlan was once.

Despite the appalling start to 2018-2019 season, I wanted him to stay. Relegation looked a certainty, but I would have stuck with him. He had the opportunity to take over at Leeds. He turned them down. That rare commodity of LOYALTY in this day and age. I have enormous RESPECT for him as a human being and for what he achieved with us. He held himself with DIGNITY. He had tremendous PRIDE. He was an HONEST man. The upper case represents the sort of qualities I want in the manager of Bristol Rovers FC. Sadly those qualities have been consigned to the past.
I guess it's a moot point. Why would he want to come back?

Yes, he vented his frustration but Wael obviously did not do or say anything that made him feel a need to stay. This man brought the pride back, in the fanbase and in the shirt. He suffered some awful abuse at the start of his tenure but he is made of sterner stuff. When I hear people slag him off, I feel quite defensive of him & there are not many that I feel this way about. I hope he has some great times ahead of him and that he achieves everything that he would wish, for himself.

We seriously must be in the s**t if people think having DC back is a good thing. Just remember the good things he did before it went tits up. He completely lost it at the end. Remember going to Charlton and the team he put out that day was laughable. Some people have short memories.

Oh, I don’t want him back, I wouldn’t wish that upon someone I think a moder day gas legend. No, leave it to Joseph. It’s what he and the club deserve. DC should stand well clear of this clusterfeck

Don't go back in football, it rarely works. A no from me...
There are exceptions, of course, but I don't see DC as one of them as his stubbornness to continually play TN as a replacement goalscorer for S worked as much as JD/BH/JA for JCH......
The big lessons here are: learn from mistakes and don't repeat them...... DC no!

George, I imagine you enjoyed two successful promotions and a successful Wembley appearance? It might be interesting having another go?

DC has moved to Port Vale, they are unbeaten in 9 games W8, D1, L0 - No other team has a better record in L2 than PV.
We are now in the same division why the hell would he come back to us.

I would prefer to have one DC than the entire coaching team of B*****, his henchmen and his forcibly adopted coaches from the previous regimes.
I doubt DC would have left any players hung out to dry in the media, particularly during a Covid pandemic where every person has their own personal issues to attend with. I wouldn't trust B***** to run bath water let alone a football club.

it was good whilst it lasted but the DC days ran their course and he was shot to bits at the end. Lets not forget this man had a decent budget (wages at least...) to replace Taylor, Harrison and Bodin and we ended up with Kyle Bennett and Stefan Payne and were lumbered with them for years - KB only finishing his contract this summer!
DC also bought his mate and current pariah Tommy to the club, look how that is going to pan out for Rovers, DC and Tommy.
