Unless we win our three remaining hone games plus get away draws its league two for us next season.
Time for Oztumer and Daly to make a contribution.
Players must be aware if their contracts are being renewed I guess. Others have an opportunity to buy into the B***** mantra of winners.
Lincoln are a very good away side and having put 4 past Donny can score something we struggle with.

It's all over bar the shouting, has been for the last few weeks, this season has been hugely disappointing and the Rovers supporters deserve better than this.

I agree 100%. We are now at the point where we desperately need to put a winning run together.
Even with a defeat, we could still only be three points from safety but the games are running out now.
I don't know what the team have left in the tank, but I hope that we can continue the form of the last two games and continue to grind out results. I don't care if we win ugly and survive only on goal difference.
We need goals from Hanlan and Ayunga and quick!

Pity we have been allowed to get to this.Mediocrity permeates our club both on and off the pitch. When we kick off next season at home to Harrogate or Barrow, will we see any tangible stadium improvements? Suspect it will be like every other August where nothing ever changes with even the roof at the Blackthorn being paid for by the supporters. The tents bear testimony to our owner's ambition.Wonder when they visit other stadiums if they feel embarrassed? Thanks for the training ground though .A rare glimpse of progress. Had to smile when the Dutch fans were shown round the Mem -pre Covid- and expressed surprise we had stands at our training pitch!!!

it’s throw the bat time after glancing at run rate to use cricket metaphor, so we should enjoy it as fans for once! Especially the win.
Joey won’t play a confused 3 or negative 5 at back this week. I expect Daly, hanlon either side of Ayunga. A 4 3 3 with middle 3 tucked in for turnover as we need as much possession we can. I think we will win this one. It’s more win or bust for us than it is Lincoln, which leads to less cloudy mind and less complicated football. In fact I think our formations and performances will be much improved now in all the remaining games. A run of good performances at last.
We need to make up three points on Wigan between now and end of season, and pretty much discount the other teams from the equation, just ignore them, we ain’t catching wombles, 4 point and extra game and form and fixtures, and the other teams all need to catch Wigan or drop as well.
The final table doesn’t lie though, it fair enough over course of season despite the ridiculous sending off and penalty against us in coming games. I fear better performances in all the remaining games means possibility held or defeated sometimes, and Wigan could scrape enough. I have it about 50/50 we stay up.

Very encouraged to read this assessment, Emperor. Indeed - it's time to throw the bat. As we discussed during the Northampton game, arguably the switch to 5 at the back was our undoing. We started to sit deeper and invite danger. We weren't playing through midfield. We've looked shaky all season with a back 3, so a 4 would be welcome. "Confused 3" is the perfect description. There seem to be any number of good reasons for a back 4. They include the fact that Lincoln have three very quick attackers (as identified yesterday by Joey). We surely can't risk a 3 on 3 at the back. After a recent poor run of form, Lincoln put 4 past MK Dons on Tuesday. It's very rare that a team doing that fails to score in the next game, so we need to be mindful. However, they do have injuries in the back line so there is hope for us. Joey also talked about Lincoln's tendency to draw opponents in by inviting a press and then hit long balls over the top. Arguably, the sort of thing we tried without success in the away game at Gillingham. Yes, we had chances, but Hanlon and Jonah didn't put anything away. I just hope we don't play that way. We need bodies in midfield to dictate patterns and thread quality balls through to strikers, rather than just relying on Hanlon to hold something up and buy a foul. My ideal team today would be: JAAKOLA, LEAHY, HARRIES, BALDWIN, WILLIAMS, UPSON, McCORMICK, WESTBROOKE, MARTINEZ or AYUNGA*, HANLON, DALY * Depending on whether we want 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 diamond I still think we're destined for relegation, but who knows? It's worth remembering that we've already beaten Lincoln this season - along with Portsmouth and Blackpool. Prediction: either 2-2 or 2-1 to Lincoln.

It's worth remembering that we've already beaten Lincoln this season - along with Portsmouth and Blackpool. Prediction: either 2-2 or 2-1 to Lincoln. whatever your formation, where you put your back line is dictated by your opponents, such as high, deep, wide narrow. if your opponents are blessed with attack pace then I suggest the back line has to sit deep. Not ideal when you are going for win and squeeze it, but you have no choice really, you can’t just have tactics you want and ignore their threats. It’s a good example how a side with lots of pace up front helps their team defend by forcing opponents deep to manage it. We don’t have much pace at the back, all season look weak to ball over top too. I think Joey will go 4 3 3 to accommodate Jonah, Hanlon, and Daly at same time, because it’s goals or down.

Tough one today on the back of a big win for Lincoln last time out.
They are pushing for a play off place so I can't see us getting more than one point.
(big win for Rovers now that I've said that)

15 months of generally sh*t football is culminating in what many of us feared for so long.
The harsh reality of relegation.
Unless......we can somehow scrape a win against a previous poor form opposition, and hope other results go our way. We've beaten them earlier in season, we can do it again.
I'll predict a nice approach play in midfield until the final third, possession, then the final ball will be underhit, overhit, powder puff shot, or the wrong decision....then one slip at the back gets punished.
0-1. The lady of obseseness is drawing her breath..

Our unbeaten run/gentle stroll continues today as we beat Lincoln and pile on the pressure against other teams around us.
19th at the end of the season.Slice of Battenburg.

3-5-1-1. Whatever that is. Hanlan on the bench Hanlan on the bench with Daly. Baldwin benched for giving away penalty despite playing well? And people want B***** to stay longer?

It’s not a team sheet created by someone on LSD. One of the managers kids brought a drawing home from school showing Hanlon on the bench with Daly.

I’ve been quite confident all week, now we are throwing the bat for goals we would get the win. Not nearly as confident after team sheet.

How do you see the game panning out Emperor? we can still win today of course. But less chance. is it three at the back? One up? It depends where pablo lines up, but 3 at the back could give an attacking three too many pockets of space. If you think of the pitch as a body, back three allows attacking three under our arms to tickle us.

Any point or points might still Not be enough to save us. Good to see Hanlan and Baldwin dropped.
