Our four relegation rivals play this evening Wigan, Wimbledon Rochdale and Swindon.
Perhaps a draw at Spotland ? Sunderland and Ipswich could also do us favours too.
Tense evening.

Wigan 2-1 up.
Why couldn't Sunderland defend like that a few weeks ago?

Wigan 2-1 up. Why couldn't Sunderland defend like that a few weeks ago? They did but we didn't have a magician to produce forwards.

Not looking too good, ' dale score will only keep us in 22 place, if Swindle win and hit several then we go down one place ,need Sunderland to get their bloody asses in gear 🤬

A Wimbledon win puts us 4 adrift of safety needing snookers as the phrase goes?
And still they have a free spin on us.

Wigan 2-1 up. Why couldn't Sunderland defend like that a few weeks ago? I said at time Sunderland didn’t look that good and are staying down. Wigan beat them by putting two goals in. Can you believe there are posters here who look back on our very narrow defeat to Sunderland as a credible performance from us? When Olly took Blackpool to the Prem he declared there is no way they will get enough points to stay up packing defence and trying to cling on to them, the only way to safety is getting expansive, taking game to opponents and scoring. Or in other words, look at how fantastically close Sheffield United’s results have been this season, what a credible run of performances from them. We have done very well ourselves to play five at the back in all our relegation 6 pointers recently, it’s allowed us to keep the score down into something quite respectable.

Northampton join us in it (and with their rubbish team and fixtures they are stone cold relegated along with Dale and likely Swindle) leaves us playing catch up with Wigan and Wombles. A shoot out between three teams, only one to drop. One team 4 points head start on us, the other 3 points (gd about same). Northampton, Swindon and dale have been the worst in the league this season. Our squad is effectively scrapping with Wigan’s to avoid the drop. But that shouldn’t be on paper and investment. They have Crewe, burton and Swindon home, salop and hull away. And a head start in two ways, 3 points, gd narrowly.

I'm already looking forward to a weekend in Harrogate. Harrogate is a very elegant town, beautiful buildings and was at one time a very wealthy place, ( it may still be,) then they decided to get a team in the FL always one part of a story messes up the setting ðŸ¤

3 points off 5 from bottom. Beat Imps and it may look better. yes. I have us beating the imps. Garners side throughly deserved win for their adventurous approach there earlier in season, and we are just simply due and more than capable of a win and goals. last Saturday was always going to be cagey, we all felt okay after denying Northampton all three points. This Saturday we can set up differently, obviously need goals and three points. We could be just a point or goal difference from safety Saturday evening. However, it’s from there it can all go wrong isn’t it? Wimbledon have 4 home of their last six, but could still get dragged into it. I have it as us v Wigan. With us drawing level this weekend, but then lots of work to do not to be edged out 🤨

Wombles look as if they've hit good form,so maybe it's now all about grabbing the 5 from bottom place.Maybe.

Anything could happen, but three look too crap to get out of it, and wombles form, extra game, 4 points head start and fixtures are a tough chase. it’s Gas v Wigan. A club with a very thin squad at start of season?
