🤝 Defender Tom Davies has moved on loan to Barrow A.F.C for the remainder of the campaign... 💙 We would like to wish him the best of luck during his stint away from the Club. Well that's a surprise.Good player.Guess he must be fit again so could benefit us in the long run .Long way to Go Tom.

Yep,'guaranteed' games at this stage is maybe what he needs. I would'nt mind if he is back for next season. Good luck to the bloke and I hope he helps Barrow remain a EFL fc.

Edit.We very much want a striker and this move maybe something to do with a deal. Stockley from PNE eg?

Tom rarely completes a full season it seems due to injuries.Barrow will be great to test his fitness so reckon a good move and expect there will be a few more loans in/out this week.

Bit of an odd one. I thought when he was back to full fitness he would be a very strong contender for one of the CB slots. Sending an injury prone player out on loan to 'get more games' seems a bit of a strange one. Anyway, wish him well.

It's less strange than wanting him in our matchday squad before he's proved his fitness.

Or send him out on loan where he could potentially play twice a week. I think the latter is weirder than the former.

Strange move for me. Agree with Basel.
For many years, we have been fortunate under DC/GC to cut injuries down to a minimum..... this past calendar year has seen almost a whole full team of injured travelling journeymen, and it appears we have regressed back to the bad old days in that sense.
What's the point of keeping players that only offer half a season at most and enjoy Xmas off on sick leave?

Perhaps Davies wanted to go on loan to prove his fitness to prospective employers as much as Rovers.
When is his contract up?

A bit rose tinted... who signed all of these injured journeymen? our regression started when Darrell ran out of ideas on the recruitment front and started sloshing the wages out to blokes with reputations rather than anything to prove. Lest we forget old Graham signed Tom and Mark Little... Who from Garner onwards seems to be a return to the bad old days to you? Daly has had a couple and Barrett also but I wouldn’t count them as journeymen.

My team of injuries in last 2 years would be: Jaak. Little. Hare. Davies. THD. Barrell. Ogogo. Ollie Clarke. JCH. Daly. Ayunga. Some more than others, but pretty much a whole team out for months...

We have too many centre backs and left full backs ...but hardly any strikers. What went wrong in the recruitment department?
