Here's a challenge for you. List your mates by their teams they support.
Risk of not having a huge list..
Different teams. E.g. If you're reading you will likely be Rovers.
I will go first. Rangers Palace Brighton Portsmouth Liverpool Man U Bristol City Tottenham Bristol Rovers Cardiff City Swansea City Wolves

Depends how you define mate - most of my really close friends don't like football.But including my extended friendship group and people I've lived with over the years;
Rovers x2 City x2 FC United x3 Man United x3 (not the same people interestingly) Man City Arsenal Orient (Γ2) Forest Barcelona Peterborough United Bury and West Ham (same person weirdly) Rotherham United Oxford United (x2) Liverpool Celtic Club Universidad de Chile (x2) Crystal Palace (x2) Aston Villa
If included sort of mates who I've played cricket with for years as well as plenty of City, Rovers, Man City, Man United and Liverpool fans I could also add;
Crewe Leeds Wolves Torquay Norwich Portsmouth Tranmere Oldham Wrexham Ferencvaros (World's greatest Hungarian Cricketer!)
I find it weird that I've never really known a Spurs or Everton fan.

Ferencvaros (World's greatest Hungarian Cricketer!)I find it weird that I've never really known a Spurs or Everton fan. We (as in Outwood Village Sunday 2nd XI) did a cricket tour to Budapest a couple of years ago and one of my mates now dines out on the fact that he dismissed an (Hungarian) international cricketer.

AFC Bournemouth x4 Bristol C x2 Southampton x2 Leicester x1 Charlton x1 Fulham x1 Hartlepool x1 Everton x1 Yeovil x1 Manchester City x1
And about half of those are Somerset CCC fans as well, which surprises me because Somerset fans are very sensible people yet the group includes 2 deluded football fans !!!! UTG!

We (as in Outwood Village Sunday 2nd XI) did a cricket tour to Budapest a couple of years ago and one of my mates now dines out on the fact that he dismissed an (Hungarian) international cricketer. Well the chap I knew came over to Manchester to do a PhD, joined our club because he'd watched the World Cup on some obscure Hungarian channel and wanted to play an 'English Sport'. He was incredibly into it - he trained harder than most of our 1st XI and ended up becoming 1st team scorer to understand the game better. He was very fit and did a number of other sports which obviously helped but at the age of 25 he managed to turn himself into a decent club cricketer in 3 years completely from scratch. That's a pretty hard thing to do with a sport that is so unnatural and technical. It was very impressive - he didn't concentrate on one discipline either, he became a reasonable all-rounder. By the end of his time in Manchester he was our 3rd team vice-captain and was getting call-ups to play for the Hungarian national side. He lives in London now and as far as I know still plays. Lovely bloke too.

Here in the Lea Valley, it's mostly Spurs, with occasional Gunners.

Ridiculous thread It's obviously mandatory for all friends to support Rovers. If they fail to comply they are relegated to "acquaintance", of little consequence nor relevance.
Some people are so fickle

Leyton Orient. Coventry. Spurs/chelsea/everton/ im never quite sure and im too embarrassed to ask him. Spurs. Rovers. City.
Im surprised how many friends some of the above have. Maybe i shouldn't be so miserable, negative, obnoxious and smelly.

Closest friends
Rovers s**theads West Ham Derby County
Work with several spurs fans, a Huddersfield town fan, several gasheads and s**theads, a couple of janners. Have worked in the past with a Gills fan, Ayr United fan, plenty of Celtic and Rangers fans, Juve, Schalke 04, FCB, Real M, AC/Inter, a lightning cheats fan. Those are the ones that I can immediately recall. certain to have been loads of others
Have met a number of people through the forums who I now class as good friends - all obviously are gasheads
