He was on trial with us last month, not sure why he was turned away other than I can only assume DC thought he wasn't good enough, could be wrong on that one though.
He did score for us in a trial match v Cirencester, Northampton have taken him now & last night he came on as sub and scored 2 away at Wolves.
The jury is very much out with regards to DC and his recruitment,3 wins in 18 games has been mentioned in another post, he has talked the talk but as yet he has definitely not walked the walk.

Lawson D'Ath did not want to come here, after the Cirencester game he went straight to a league club for a trial and then onto Northampton who are a LEAGUE CLUB, simple to understand and cannot work out why his name is constantly being mentioned.

Exactly people always assume its our fault for missing out on players whereas often its as simple as players train somewhere local or somewhere they know they will get a good pre season, even play a trial game but then during lead up to season starting obviously take best offer they can highest up the leagues in hope they get offered a deal higher up the pyramid He'd have been a great signing, but never going to happen when league clubs (think he went to a L1 club first ) came a calling

Two tweets from him would suggest we didnt offer him anything, not him turning us down......
July 18th - "Just so people know I haven't had an offer from any club! And I am not chasing the money. I would take anything to be given an opportunity"
Then on the 19th July a conversation with Adam Le Fondre where he says "struggs atm mate. Played 2 an a bit games already scored 2 goals. Playing well but no contract offer yet. Been at Bristol Rovers, Yeovil and Eastleigh."

Don't know whether your interested but D'Ath is doing pretty well for us, scored 2 more this week, 8 in total for this season. We may struggle to hold on to him, be glad when this transfer window is closed.
Meanwhile, can you guys hurry up and get to the top of your division, I told anybody who'd listen that whoever got relegated out of the three of us would bounce straight back and got roundly lambasted for saying so, so sort it out, I don't like being wrong.

If Darrel Clarke didn't wont to sign D`ath It was his prerogative whether right or wrong. My bet is agents shenanigans but who knows? But,If he didn't score two at Wolves yesterday you would not have mentioned him obviously. So,If said player disappears into the wilderness and is driving a white van come August, please do give us an update.

1) We played Accrington Stanley yesterday.
2) He has a contract with us until the end of the 2015-6 season so wont be driving a white van any time soon.
3) I personally wouldn't be surprised if somebody doesn't come in for him, they most certainly will if he continues to find the net from midfield at the rate he has this season.
4) I will give you an update, will be an absolute pleasure.

I misread what the original poster put. I thought he said he came on as sub v Wolves and scored two. Personally I wouldn't care if he scored 10 against anyone and for whom. My reply was to the OP. Which incidently is just another dig at our manager who is doing a very good job at a bloody s**te club but there you go. As for the updates, exclude me but do give them to the Op who obviously is

I don't know whether that was the kick up the arse he needed but since he's been back he's been a revelation which may also be to do with him being played in the correct position.

As for him being taken off yesterday, he was sacrificed when we had a man sent off and we needed to bring on a central defender.

Looks like the Clarke out brigade will be coming back out of the woodwork, then again he could have instructed Mildenhall to punch it into his own net I suppose.

Not based on any fact but more on body language & demeanour. It's never been easy being Rovers but I never expected this

Having said that, this is Rovers so nothing would surprise me.

It's also worrying that we have the injuries come at a pivotal time. Having said all that, I would have taken a play off place at start of season, just a shame we are not a free flowing & scoring team. I hope I am completely wrong.
