And that’s why the plug has been pulled. No one expected that we would find ourselves decent contenders, nothing was further from the clubs plans. The current business model and facilities barely provide the means to survive in the division we compete in let alone a division a gulf above us. Championship football is a whole different proposition nowadays compared to when we last occupied the old division Two.

I'm 33 years old and have seen one Bristol Rovers Second Tier match in my life, it was the first game I ever attended. Frankly, I'd like to see some more.

So you're saying you'd have pulled the plug in their situation, not that they've admitted to doing that?

Hang on a minute.
We'll have new owners in a minute and a new stadium being constructed.
Burton struggled along for a couple of seasons in the 2nd division, their stadium is no better than ours.
Why would our new owners have agreed to scupper plans to get us into the division that they want us in?
Makes no sense.

I Look at Bournemouth, their rise through the divisions and now in the Premier league, gates were no more than ours at BRFC , stadium holds 12,000 , but the sponsorship and SKY money keep them there , get that in place and it could be managed

In fact, I think that they've been fined for breaching FFP rules. Here you go; FFP fineOnce they got there they had to spend around £5m to bring the capacity up to PL minimum requirements. From memory I think it's 20,000 minimum.

Yep, I stand corrected, thank you. How are they getting away with that then, when there was a stated minimum capacity of 20,000, or do I have that wrong as well?

I still think we should be looking at the likes of Rotherham of an example of how to do things. Being a Yo-Yo Team would be the next level up from us.

The minimum capacities spill was a ground grading regulation for the Football League, the Premier League uses these stipulations.
