The good news is that we have 3 potential first-teamers.
Hoole, Phillips and Walker in that order.
Phillips looks very confident when in the box. He had very little service against a superior team.
Hoole looks assured with good touch and Walker had a real zip about his play.
I spoke to Kieran afterwards and assured him that he has the ability to make it. Reminded me of a young Marcus Gabbiandi.
Their no 8 was outstanding - Andre Jankewitz. Found out later that he was a Swiss youth international that Southampton had signed from Servette for £1.35 million as a 17 year old.
Added bonus was that I followed Ken Masters and Jim Chappell into officials area at half-time and consequently blagged a free pasty.
Attendance 507!

I thought Rovers keeper Harry Thomas Barker who was outstanding in the previous tie against Sudbury was assured too and was the Saints number 10 Caleb Watts who is a confident creative central midfielder.
A good entertaining match and some quality goals. Quite a number of Saints fans in the East Stand. Did anyone notice Saints coach was former Rovers defender Paul Hardyman.
Saints will face Arsenal or Cheltenham in last 32 in the Cup.
