I'm sorry Bamber, that just simply isn't good enough. I'm disappointed with you and I feel you've really let yourself down. If the best adjective you can come up with to describe Darrah MacAnthony is "chump", then I find that absolutely shocking. Please think more carefully about what you write in future. Don't blame me, I tried, several times, but you have control of the obscenity and profanity filters. I have altered them at Admin level to ignore any foul and abusive language where the words "Darragh MacAnthony" are included in the sentence.

Just put his name into Google translate to see what it would be in Latin, cum cunnus semper cunnum, so it says?

Oddly enough, I plugged in "cum cunnus semper cunnum" and it came back with "When vulva always cunnum". However - plugging in what was foremost in my mind - "Once a ***t , always a ***t", it magically did come up with "cum cunnus semper cunnum". And that, I believe is the motto of the MacAnthony surname.

A MacAnthony; Slang for female genitalia or a despicable person. Ex. Anybody who thinks we are going to believe their alibi that they were in Pizza Express in Windsor alone, and remember the exact date, 3 years later, but although they are quite famous literally nobody has come forward to say that they saw him there, must think we are a right gullible bunch of MacAnthonys.

it's starting. Apparently talks of League Two and conference merging to a League Two North/South Has to happen Financially - I think you can lump League 1 in there as well. The PL and Championship are quite literally... in a different league. Division 3 North and South moved to Division 3 and 4 in 1958. It would appear re-structuring is a tad over-due.

How about PL1 & PL2 and then League 1 North and South and League 2 North and South? Seems to me the concept of tiers 3, 4 and 5 operating nationally isn't financially viable any more. Lower running costs for Clubs, and (presumably) higher gates due to more 'local' games... money normally provides the answers to these tricky questions...

Would it include promotion to Prem2?

Apparently talks of League Two and conference merging to a League Two North/South Has to happen Encorporating the Conference into the football league is something that probably should have happened years ago. Nearly all clubs at that level are now full-time professional so it hasn't made sense having the non-league cut off at League 2 for a long time. All it does is make 'dropping out of the league' a bigger deal than it actually should be.
That one doesn't worry me as much as a 'Prem 2' does.

it's starting. Apparently talks of League Two and conference merging to a League Two North/South I think there is a case for combining the Conference and League Two, but is regionalisation going to solve anything? What percentage of expenditure for clubs at that level is spent on away travel? If costs reduced, what is to stop the reduction being frittered away on agent fees and player wages? If the aim is to ensure clubs remain solvent then salary caps would seem a much more effective measure. Rich owners, like the backer at Salford have would still be able to make capital investments in infrastructure with a view to increasing turnover (and the amount a club can spend on wages) but obviously this growth would be sustainable. The other issue I have with a geographical split is that it's not always easy to ensure a fair split. Gloucester City were in the Conference North for a number of years and they are only 25 miles North of Bristol. I would guess there would be a number of clubs just south of the midlands who could find themselves with a long trip every week.

I guess (hope) that proper governance would mean that any potential savings would not be frittered away on stupid salaries for bog standard players and parasitic agents. Salary caps - yes, has to be done. It's the way forward. Yes, some strange decisions were made that resulted in Gloucester City playing in the Conference North. But they are north of Bristol, so that they're northerners in my books anyway. We're not looking for perfect solutions here. We're looking for the least bad options... (And for Peterborough to be denied a play-off place. Because they're cocks).

Nothing at all to be gained in north and south leagues in such a small country, waste of time and will not happen in my view.

I guess that depends on whether clubs go Semi-pro and have part-time players. I think they have to consider all options and have ideas ready in principle to vote on Nothing coming out of League One from yesterday it seems

Though of course they are well aware that this could finish off Clubs that can't afford to play. Accrington Stanley said weeks ago that they would rather forfeit every game and get relegated to ensure there was still a Club to support 'next' season. Mr MacAnthony (Peterborough) responded with "screw them".

Madness. So England has 116 professional Clubs playing nationally. Quick look at Germany. Top 3 tiers - 46 full professional Clubs playing nationally. Tier 4 is semi-pro and played regionally. Tier 5 is amateur and played regionally. I wonder which structure works best? Tricky one that.

Surely if the 'majority' of League 1 Clubs say finish the season now... then that should be good enough for the EFL? Or do they need a certain % of Clubs to agree? I would celebrate Peterborough missing out on a play-off place as much as an unlikely Rovers away win.

I would celebrate Peterborough missing out on a play-off place as much as an unlikely Rovers away win. I think it's more the method. the 6 have their motives. Peterborough would be in the play-offs with a weighted PPG formula, but miss out on straight PPG as used in league 2. If Posh got weighted PPG I bet Darragh wouldn't give a s**t about anyone else. Of course that's still reliant on play-off matches actually going ahead. If they can't agree a straight majority for any one plan, than the EFL should make their minds up and f**k old Darragh over

Any gains will be maginal compared with other steps that could be taken around governance rules and salary caps etc.
