Calf strain. At least its not the same injury as pre-season (I think that's good, but not sure why). Will be missed, at least we have an element of progress recently. Deon to the bench.

Only plus is that it may put off some clubs from making an offer in January

Hopefully this time it could turn out to be Third time lucky! Previously when we lost our main Hitman such as Ellis and the Bench Warmer the goals subsequently dried up. Big chance for Tyler Smith who I rate highly, to take over the mantle from JCH and it will give some game time to Victor and Kyle who have not really got going for the gas yet to show us what they can do. There is also Tom Nicholls and a fact you may not be aware off is also listed in the squad as a striker yes its true I kid you not!
Joking apart, expect our Tommy to play a major role as he is a very gifted individual, and if he is not scoring the goals, then being the provider.
We will know more of what we can expect from our strikers after Saturday as MK Fake Dons are there for the taking!

I would draft Deon in to start and ruffle the feathers of those 'above' him in the pecking order. GC is known for bringing through talent if good enough regardless of age (Kilgour) and Smith Nicholls and Victor need to be shown they can't be too comfortable. Comfortable players is always a danger. See who takes their chance

Totally agree with mango and why not give Deon a run out, maybe as sub?
But....my spider senses tell me there's been some angst revolving around DM. We'll see, eh. I trust GC..

One win and one defeat on, and by all accounts yesterday another lazy shift. It seems thinking back that the 'lack of confidence' tag excuse could be replaced with 'can't be assed' Even the best players miss Pen's, but it hurts, when the minimum benchmark expection when donning the blue and quarters is 'effort and commitment' is not there. So three points out of six and with two home games to come - GC may have to, do the unthinkable (even DC could not bring himself to do it) and drop Nicholls from the first team Squad. Six Points please UTG

Any chance the supporters could get Nichols kicked out the team. All our strikers lower down know they will never be able to replace him no matter how hard or how many goals they score. What kind of incentive is that. With JCH injured he has fluffed his lines already. He is our equivalent of pogba or ozul help !

As i Saïd previously GC has carried on in the same vein as DC by rewarding shoddy performances by picking Nicholls again and again so that he can again and again produce yet more shoddy performances. A 'striker' whos played over a hundred games and scored three goals should not be in the Squad. I reiterate, if you regularly put in poor performances you should get dropped Yes on No? ??

Agreed, he should be dropped, only reason he stays in the team is for his link up play, which, after two decent passages of play he is involved in will pack up his tools and declare it a good job done for the day. I particularly pick up on his half-skip dummy that makes you think he is going to make a turn of speed or a tackle, or at least get close to his man, that vanishes quicker than it started to a slow trot with him turning his back or pointing at others to make a challenge instead, GC says he wants to give youngsters a chance, well bully up and get Moore in the team, and send TN out on loan, best for club & player.
