79 miles from Stafford.Nice new stand since our last visit and they have done well in recent times. One or two of our players need to step up as we need a good display to restore the faith and avoid further drops in our own attendances.Glad our keeper is back as don't rate the giant Dutchman. Away form not good so let's put it right today and get our season back on track.

The odds on a 2-0 loss must be tightening. Not going today, I can't summon up the enthusiasm. Hoping for a point, but fearing none. UTG.

There are a fair few more feeling the way you do & are not going. We desperately need the team to start putting in some decent performances. Worrying times for sure

FT: 0-1 Didn't see that coming, UTG! Me neither, Lincoln have got off to a good start so that was an excellent win. Only two points off the play offs.

Worrying times for sure I seem to be in a minority, but the only league games I have missed this season are todays and Burton and I honestly don't see a lot wrong. I think we are half decent and will finish top half.

I'll join you in that minority view - I got home from the Accy game last week irritated that we had conceded two points owing to sloppy defending, but feeling I'd been at a very watchable game and that we'd played OK. It was only after reading the comments from others - "dire", "dour", "shambles", "chaos" etc. - that I wondered if I'd somehow stumbled into a parallel universe where everything is awful all the time. I agree with you - we're not a bad team and will hopefully improve. If you want to recall what real despair and worry looks like, try watching us at Altrincham 5 years ago - I was at that game and I'd have bitten your hand off for anything approaching our current position and performance.

I'd somehow stumbled into a parallel universe where everything is awful all the time. Say hi to Bambie. Unfair. Sainsbury's is brilliant. Also, felt slightly less bleak for maybe 2 seconds earlier today when I saw this, Second prize at the Newent onion show no less. No higher accolade. Well, apart from 1st prize I guess.

Excellent 3 pts. Took advantage of Lincoln losing their manager in an otherwise tricky away fixture.
We have now lost 1 in 4 and picked up 7 pts from those games.
5 pts off top
Upson back, clean sheet. Missed him massively last week

I was at that Altrincham game as well, I didn't miss many (if any) that season. Before the game I remember being in the pub, quite a few Rovers there and thinking to myself that the coming season might be good fun. After the game, the horrible realisation that we may not have reached rock bottom yet hit me and indeed worse was to come at Braintree and also- even though we had picked up a bit by then- at Alfreton. Never in my life did I imagine I would be watching Rovers limp to a 0-0 with Alfreton in a sub 1000 crowd on a dingy November evening! We are not even remotely close to being that bad at the moment , although it is quite possible we may be again if off the field things carry on as they are. Quite why GC gets the stick he does amazes me, some people should be careful what they wish for.

I don't think GC'll be getting stick much longer now we're beginning to gel. Another entertaining game of football. Good running off the ball and quick link-up play, and always a threat going forward with that man up front. Defence was solid enough and have cut out the hoofing it from the early games and now play it out. The midfield purred along with Upson pulling the strings. He was my MoM but Little wasn't far behind. Nichols did alright but the pen was a bit dubious I thought. He lacks turn of speed when he squirms past defenders and is invariably robbed or goes to ground. This time he was tumbled over with a hefty shoulder charge that the ref deemed as too hefty but it could have gone either way. Clarke-Harris has the knack of inviting tackles from behind and wins a free kick every time. Long may that last! He looks a bit off the pace but still put in a good shift.

Yep i made the Alfreton game - little Hamlet just outside Derby - when you look back, the only way was up, we also had real hope of a new stadium - The only fruity antics then was on the thekla by the harbourside! Oh joy to hear the other fans chanting at the ref who gave them nothing and us a non-pen. Some of the worst wrong home decisions came in front of the large stand and our 'pen' in front of us. A bit sad to hear Lincoln fans walking away after the game saying we were time-wasters, but TN went down injured and then came off, JCH is a real footballer and, like Craig, knows how to 'play the game'. There were 6 minutes added after all (though 1 for the goal celebrations}.
PS Not reffed for some time, but do you stop the game for a boot coming off some way away from play?

How cynical & nasty! (snigger) One might comment Lincoln are coming down to earth - lost manager to bigger club, been mugged by ref, etc.. Join the real world guys!
