Very short journey for us.No longer all -ticket and was a bit of a weird decision to make it so initially.Anyway, spirits much higher than two weeks ago so feeling slightly optimistic. We don't have a great record there and they scored 4 mid-week.Will JJ play for them?Welcome to Staffordshire everyone and enjoy the beer here. Will Sir Tom continue his rich vein assuming he's not injured even though he took a knock mid-week v Brighton? Intriguing game in prospect.

Another 2-0 defeat would be so disappointing after the last week. Keep the same 11 where possible. If Sercombe is fit, bench him. He has to earn a place back in this 11. They've lost their first 2 home games 1-0 but beat Oxford 4-2 away. Likely to be tough but I'm hopeful. Nothing each would be brilliant. Over the moon if we win

I’m hoping for the words “Nichols” and “clinical” to appear in the match report again tonight

I watched Burton play Ipswich at the start of the season and JJ played as a centre-back /sweeper. I think the 'engine' is getting a little tired. By the way, Ipswich were very good.

Burton, the home of my favourite ever beer Bass! It's sad to say Bass is not the same as it used to be and I'm not sure if it's because my taste buds or the recipe have changed over the years. That is in contrast to my passion for the Gas (Rovers that is) which, despite so few ups and many downs, has not changed or diminished. The last few games have seen some good improvements to individual and teams performance which is making me feel a little more positive about this game and I think a draw is well within our reach. 1-1 for me UTG.

We bossed the second half and get hit by two late goals like that. A real sickener. Burton didn't deserve that but they play a tight game and put their bodies on the line.

Beaten by a team that get 3,000 home crowds. You can see why the s**t have so much fun at our expense.

Watched on ifollow, that was cruel, plenty of endeavour and decent football, just lacked composure and a little luck, 2-0 flattered the Brewers, a bad day at the office.

Just back.Didn't deserve to win but certainly didn't deserve to lose either.Smith very weak,no attempts and anonymous. Simply pushed off the ball. Davies brilliant.Under 3000 crowd.Small but neat stadium with excellent catering and toilet facilities.Suits them fine. We have so little creativity and Clarke-Harris was on his own up front but Tom Nichols did well in his cameo performance and went close.Played well but their number ten Akin was class.JJ fouled Alfie K at every corner constantly and was lucky the officials were too weak to sort it. Played well but that extra bit of quality isn't there and our failure to recruit a creative mid-fielder will mean a long season.

Just got back!!
Ahem.
Ok a dogged 80 odd minutes where in second half we dictated alot of the play.
The best away performance for a while. Certainly since April at the very least.
I'm liking the back four as in Keeps, Alf, Tony and Tom. They had their work cut out with their m o m number 10 who ran his heart out to drag our defence apart and got his richly deserved goal. Tony Craig allowed a turn and shot...tut tut... difficult to concentrate for 87 let alone 90mins.
Josh again played well. Leahy made the number up but alot of his crosses were wayward.....but he isn't a winger, that should be remembered.
JCH had a largely quiet match (fair play to their number 18, contender for m o m)
Tyler ran alot but done not much.
Again mid were quite effective, Abu pick of them for me.
But for me, Kilgour m o m with blocking and heading everything away and even managed a decent shot on target, albeit deflected and posed no problems. Well done, lad.
I was pleasantly surprised we played ok. As we had our chances (why did JCH pass to their defender at 1-0 when half put through,? He looked frustrated as us after that), it so easily could have been a different score, but with stats like 21 shots and no goals to show, we need a but of luck. We've hit the post 3 times in first 3 matches, and unfortunately conceding in last few mins. Its a fine line sometimes.
Encouraging performance. It appears we are in for a 3-5-2 for a long period....it hasn't been sussed yet, but am interested to see a plan b.....fair play to GC it appears to be working as is balanced, everyone seems to know where they're meant to be and is both effective in defence and attack. We need to sharpen our offensive set piece plays and shots on target.
On to Accy. We should be able to deal with them as McConville will surely still be suspended (?).
Anyway, keep the faith and trust me after Blackpool and Cov away, things do seem to be improving.
UptheGas!

I think it evens out over a season. We have won lots of games we didn’t deserve to and vice verse but that means nothing to those that travelled. Gutted but still feel we will come good

The way I see it is we have a solid defence. But playing hoofball puts too much pressure on the defence. The ball keeps coming back. We cannot hold the ball up well enough in midfield and up front to ease the pressure on the defenders. We need players or a system that holds the ball better. Dutch goalkeeper will help with this he will keep his place after playing.
