Yep saw that on 'Memories' on FB today.Also recall being asked to choose seats at Cheltenham for the Mem re-build and when we wondered why no demolition was taking place ,Lennie Lawrence said the players needed somewhere to meet before games!!!!!!!!!!!! The then Lady MP did a lot for the new build PP and I was one of many who wrote to Eric Pickles to encourage him to give UWE the green light.Ah,the false hopes of generations with still nothing tangible underlining the oft used phrase,'Will believe it when I'm sat in it', refrain.The proposed webcam to see the UWE progress was an exciting thought for those of us who worship from afar but as usual we are still where we were at the beginning of every new season.

As Nikki Biggs sang;
Student rental? Must have thought we're mental!
What a barmpot scheme that was.
But the good news for Wael is that BCC are desperate to help us, so just knock up a plan to develop your 'beautiful piece of land' and they'll bend over backwards to assist with the planning.

By Christmas we will be singing: Awael in a malaise, no hope of a ground, the silence is deafening, its all down the pan!

Then the student scheme fell "flat" on its face Isn't that confusing 2 different Stadium plans. This one is the original UWE deal which was going to be funded by the Sainsbury's development right? Or was that originally connected to student accommodation too? I forget.
I know the previous 'off you go to Cheltenham' one was based on student rental flats. I actually think we were a bit unlucky on that one. All put in place just as student rental market collapsed - it has since boomed again. Look at developments in Central Bristol - half the cranes I can see over Manchester currently are to do with student accommodation. Probably about to crash again as a result but we were a bit unlucky to slip between 2 big expansion periods in that market.

Well I heard at yesterday's match that someone threw a pound coin onto the pitch - Police are trying to establish whether it was a missile or a takeover bid!

Next season we will go up when Coughlin replaces the useless Nichols with a decent striker . You build a team from the back and that is what is happening, next season the forwards. I believe that if we go up a new stadium will be quickly found, especially in South Gloucester

South Gloucester will be a bit of a hike. Somewhere in South Gloucestershire is probably a more optimal solution.

I believe that if we go up a new stadium will be quickly found, especially in South Gloucester I genuinely fear us being around. The accounts were for the year previous so, lord knows, what the actual losses are
