Morning All,
Forgive me as am totally new to the world of forums!
For those of you who know/knew R Keith (and I hope he isn't on these forums...don't think he is as he's not that up to speed with this sort of thing.... although he is a regular on FB!) Anyway, I digress!
My Dad was very well known at the Rovers and was extremely committed to his many roles within the Club - particularly to the programme that received numerous awards (and deservedly so in my opinion). He worked ridiculously hard for the club and despite the amount of work he did, the stress it caused - he bloody loved his job!
His departure from the Club was probably not how he envisaged and its a shame that more of a fuss wasn't made by the Club about him leaving but that's by the by.
For those of you that don't know, he couldn't keep away for that long as he now commentates on the games which, I am pleased to say, he is absolutely thrilled to be doing! He really is football crazy!
On the 30th of March, my Dad will be commentating on the game (and he will kill me if he finds out about this) but it is a very special birthday for him (shhhhhhhh).....I am putting together a scrap book album for him including some of the lovely comments that were on here when he left the Club - just to let him know how valued he was to the BR's community. I appreciate he may not have been everyone's cup of tea but he's a blue and white through and through!
If any of you would like to pass on any words/comments that I can use to put in to the album that would be greatly appreciated. Similarly - if any of you see him at the game on the 30th March - holler ''Happy Birthday'' to him...it'll totally freak him out!
Thank you for taking the time to read this - much appreciated!
UTG!
Diana
