I don't know - I can remember when we went down in 00-01 and everyone thought we'd be fine because of the game in hand we had. Ended up playing a stupid number of games in a week and not winning any of them. It wouldn't be that extreme but those games in hand come with much more pressure when you are in the relegation scrap than when you are pushing for promotion.

Yep, IIRC 2 midweek fixtures at home to Port Vale, then home to Wycombe then our last fixture on the Saturday at home to Wrexham. We actually played well against Port Vale and Wycombe and on both occasions were undone against the run of play by 25 yarders. Relegation just had our name all over it that year.
