Hold your horses. All I did was say that this is Ken's area of expertise, I didn't even suggest that he was doing anything inappropriate. I think that as a person he's a bit ridiculous, but I've never had as much as a moment's doubt about any conflict of interests, I don't think he's a dishonest or manipulative person at all. Daft yes, (draw your own conclusions from Tommy's interview) but I think he's sincere and trustworthy. Daft is a kind way of putting it and probably the best description. I don't think Ken had a devious plan to mislead fans into thinking Rovers had put £9 million into a facility at Lockleaze but equally I think he is quite aware that by spewing out ambiguous stuff like this many fans will grasp at it and be lulled back into thinking we are in good hands after all and that he is a "great bloke". It is exactly the same tactic Wael uses with his "teams of experts" talk knowing that most fans consider him their superior who "knows best" so they can carry on slumbering while he takes care of things. And it equally applies to Steve Hamer (he must be someone big in "the City" mustn't he ?) who, with a nod and a wink to the "Tommy's", lets them know that those in high places cannot be "arsed" to speak to them but that we should rest assured they are dealing with all the technical intricacies such as "entrance landfills" and "two mile concrete walkways from the village" which have to be mastered before we can have a training ground like Fleetwood's. But who are the daft ones ? If he wants people to think he's a 'great bloke' he needs to calm down a bit and drop the passive aggressive stuff. That was fairly typical, in fact, classic Ken. Maybe now the label that he had of Comedy Ken makes sense?

But who are the daft ones ? Someone big in "the city" ! I love it,almost as good as when people on this forum used to refer to the qadi's as "clever businessmen"...notice that I said used to ! In the interview Steve Hamer went to great lengths in telling Tom M that Dwane Sports is a private family business and fans had no right or reason to take any interest in it. But if you know your football club is owned by Jordanian businessmen, and you know that Jordanian businessmen are under extreme pressure at the moment then why wouldn't you take an interest in how that pressure might impact your football club ? Jordan's economy is in distress and the population is turning on the elite which runs the country. Taxes are increasing, food and energy prices rising, unemployment stands at 18% and there is a water shortage. Those who own a bank which pays out virtually all of it's profit in dividends are very likely to come under scrutiny. And anyone sending £15 million out of the country to fund an overseas football folly may well be asked serious questions. Steve can pretend all he likes but these issues won't go away and surely it is better to work together with Hani to find a resolution rather than wait for the crunch to happen and then start wailing.

it’s not that I want to play dumb, but there has to be a better model of expressing our views than postings on a message board or Facebook. IMHO there has to be an organised and active Supporters’ group to express these views collectively. Just look at Blackpool and Charlton to see how effective this can be. I have zero confidence, especially post 2006, that the Supoorters Club will ever be capable of doing this. We can all have our moans individually on line, carry on going to matches, and speak on the quiet to so called ITKers. That will achieve nothing. I called publically for an Independent Supporters Association after the relegation in 2001. A group who are not afraid to publically convey all of our thoughts and feelings. Eighteen years later I feel we need one more than ever. Otherwise there is zero pressure for the board to change a single thing. But is it effective? Yes blackpool gates are down considerably but the team are in the top half of the table and the owners are showing no signs of leaving All good things to those that wait.

If there is 9 million available for community trust who’s deciding where it’s spent and surely if ken masters company’s involved there would be a conflict of interest also why aren’t the club shouting about this from the roof tops after all the negative vibes about the club anybod6 got a link to ken masters email I’d like to ask him a couple of questions Hold your horses. All I did was say that this is Ken's area of expertise, I didn't even suggest that he was doing anything inappropriate. Wouldn't trust him further than I could throw him, and I've got a bad back! At that SC AGM he was arrogant, short-tempered and dismissive. He's not daft at all and knows exactly what he's doing.

You give him too much credit. Bad tempered, yes, he really really doesn't take well to being called out when he's spouting BS. I've seen him go all red, shuffle round in little circles shouting, slam him drink on the bar and storm off in a strop, all because he wouldn't confirm how he had voted in a board meeting, he was reminded that the person asking the question was a supporter and he had promised to represent all of us if elected. At that point he totally lost it. But despite all of that, I still don't think he's a bad person, just as daft as a brush. It's quite incredible, we could have had Clive Farquar as our rep, but people re-elected Masters.

Join the BRSC Committee and make Supporters Club GREAT AGAIN. It means however matchday duties selling 50/50 tickets and programmes in all weathers quite a challenge.

Typically for you, you've jumped in with both feet without thinking for a second that I may have been a member and could have voted when Clive stood. Where do you sell programmes and 50/50?

I had never seen Masters before he popped up to announce that he was coming home and wanted to become a director. In fact he admitted that he wasn't even a member of the share scheme and I had never seen him selling a 50/50 ticket or programme either.

Yea, but you were banned from the ground for being naughty and telling the truth, consistently, so you have no idea what was going on.

Nice try Bamber but I was sat alongside Geoff Dunford the night Masters appeared and announced that he was a Gashead and was coming home. :-)
