You have, but you never offered me a sausage like Vaughan did ! Seriously though, the concept of apologies on message boards is totally alien to me and when people say things like “so when Wael builds our 30 000 capacity stadium and state of the art training ground you’ll apologize for ever doubting him” I cringe. Absolute nonsense and another sign of the gross sense of insecurity which too many Rovers fans suffer from. We somehow have to get ourselves into a state of mind where we can say what we really think without fear of being vilified for disloyalty. Back onto this topic about the clause in the sale contract which allegedly forbade Dwane Sports from selling the Mem and leaving Rovers homeless. Has anyone asked why the former director had no fear about disclosing the existence of such a clause ? Because from what we have been led to believe anything and everything which involves Rovers is subject to non disclosure agreements. Indeed!, They are Bankers!, they are not going to invest in a purchase if the main asset is effectively frozen!, and on another note the ALQ's will seriously not be enjoying the bad publicity that they are attracting, for the life of me, with the uwe & training ground stalled long term, WHAT is in it for them now?, keep running up losses with the specter of relegation running into the New Year?. I just hope that Wael still has enough interest and family clout to keep this club running. Investment Bankers in general if a purchase made is found not to have near immediate potential or continues to make substantial losses, they will look to cut those losses at the earliest and recoup as much as possible regardless, family members are probably giving Wael a hard time. agreed, but most people (and football club owners in particular) have a fair bit of ego about them Wael has been on telly, and at events round the world, as the Prez of BRFC. I persist in believing that for him to have to wind the club up would be a big old blow to his image plus, the family appear to value the club at £25m. The wind-up value would be, say, £15m. Why would they want to 'lose' £10m? I'm still slightly disturbed that swiss is very open to discussions of mutual sausage offering on here, but finds 'apologies' alien though

Twas at this moment swissgas shared that news. And I gave him a piece of my mind for questioning the motivation of our owners behind it. How dare he have a dig at wonderful new owners? We were on the brink of the new UWE stadium... everything was going to be bloomin' great. Then it wasn't. I have formally apologised to swissgas. You have, but you never offered me a sausage like Vaughan did ! When I have been rude to someone and it transpires that they were just telling the truth (as they see it), then I feel an apology to that person is warranted. So now you know where you can stick your sausage roll. Sideways.

I suppose that the most likely buyers for the ground would be house builders ? but supposing that house prices drop in March after Brexit, will anyone want to build houses ? I wonder if the value of the ground drops by 10/15/20% what the owners will do?,still they are such "clever businessmen" that they must already have a cunning plan. So you believe all the Brexit bull, as long as there more people then houses, estate agents will always put the price of houses up, and given 273, 000 immigrants arrived last year which is the equivalent of Plymouth I don't think it matters whether we are in the EU or not. But, house prices falling would be a bonus to the younger people of this country

But, house prices falling would be a bonus to the younger people of this country That's not true, there has always been more people than houses yet we have seen house prices fall sharply on a few occasions in the last couple of decades. I don't believe Project Fear or Brexit bull as you put it,30% house price drops have been mentioned,I don't think that will happen,I wish it would as like you I think that would help young people get on the housing ladder in fact apart from the very wealthy with multiple houses a drop would help most people. When a 2 bedroom terraced house in W-o-T can cost £420,000 then prices need to fall and I think that could happen next March as a lot of people who presently rent properties may have left the UK (a lot of EU citizens have already left).
Anyway my post said "suppose that house prices drop"? well suppose they do,what happens to the value of the ground ?...if you are right and a price drop is "bull" all well and good for the owners but if you are wrong and prices do fall who will want to buy the ground ? not builders.

in 1983 I paid £24,500 for a one bedroomed flat in Brentford, one road away from Griffin Park. I sold in in 2013 for £395,000. It has recently sold again for £445,000. If that is not ridiculous I don't know what is...…………..well apart from Nichols being first on the team sheet

It'll be the Blue Plaque that puts the price up.

I can't afford a Rovers sausage roll.

How dare you. I demand an apology. You can demand an apology, but the best I can do is offer you a sausage roll. From Greggs. I can't afford a Rovers sausage roll. Ah - it all begins to make sense now... the UK Christmas No. 1 is a song called "We built this City on sausage rolls".
