Hi all,
Here is a link to our League One preview and predictions for Tuesday
Would be interested to hear your views on the game but also on Clarke's future. How many of you are still behind him etc?
Thanks James

I'm still behind him. A goal difference of only minus 3 is currently better than ten other teams in the division, and is very unusual for a team in the bottom four at this stage of the season. Look at all the other league tables and every team in a relegation spot bar us has a goal deficit of minus 10 or more. Nobody's really thrashed us, but as we've only scored 16 goals its clear where the problem lies - in attack. In the last two years he's lost three very good strikers and its never easy replacing a goalscorer. You could blame him for recruiting poor replacements but maybe the players just weren't available for the budget he was allowed. Until something changes up the top end of the pitch (i.e players find form or he's allowed to replace them in the January window) I really don't see anybody doing any better than Darrell.

An early goal by Tom by either Nichols or Eaves will settle the game ….free flowing football I am not expecting. Tense and backs to the wall defending for sure.
Would imagine Sincs returns and surely Lines to run the midfield possibly at the expense of Upson.
If 7,100 turn up including 93 Gills fans it will be a good turn out.

Yes, out of the teams that have played the same as us 19 games, we have got the best defence, but having only scored 16 is the 3rd worst hence our place in the table. Agree, who do you get in when DC does not seem to get any funds to play with, it would be no better for someone new to deal with. I thought when these owners took over we would have funds for buying much better quality to get us up into the play-offs at least.
