Blimey, when I saw the title of the thread I thought that he'd signed for BRFC. No but seriously, good luck to him for the future.

Bit different in Germany, a much lower level as it's Regional Leagues.

OK has anyone seen the map.? Wiesbaden may be fifth division,so are we,it is literally on the other side of the Rhine, 20 yards from Mainz which is on the other side of the river and who are proud members of the Bundesliga, the best league model in the world
He is closer to the big boys than we think

His new team not only play in the 5th tier of the German pyramid but the 4th tier has 5 Regional Leagues in it - so in effect he is playing in one of the Divisions in the 9th tier. The German League system makes a lot of sense, in a regional system below the 3rd tier rather than having the likes of Torquay and Plymouth travelling to Gateshead, Hartlepool and Carlisle and judging by Brazil 2014 seems to work! en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_football_league_systemIt has to be said that he did very little during his time here to suggest he should have been given a further opportunity. His new club also have a Cricket team!

His new club also have a Cricket team! Erm it's not really ninth tier, it's still fifth tier but the standard isn't that of the fifth tier here. Also the Regionalliga works in Germany partly because of the size of the country and partly because the of the history of the league pyramid in Germany. The Regionalliga were second tier until 1974 before being disbanded with the formation of the Bundesliga & Bundesliga 2, it was then re-introduced in the 90's as a third tier this was due to the increase in teams into the German pyramid with the fall of the Berlin Wall and end to the DDR Oberliga. What you essentially had in the early 90's were a third more teams join the pyramid. Now with the introduction of Liga 3 the Regionalliga is the fourth tier but houses some famous old names. Dynamo Berlin historically the Stasi team in the DDR who won the Oberliga 10 times are in Regionalliga Nordost, 1. FC Magdeburg the winners of the Cup Winners Cup in 1974 are in Regionalliga Nordost as well, Carl Zeiss Jena who came runners up in the 1981 Cup Winners Cup are in the Nordost Liga as well and FSV Zwickau who won the first DDR Oberliga are in Nordost Liga too. I would be delighted if we had a ground as good as 1. FC Magdeburg's MDCC-Arena.

Still an awful lot of teams above Broghammers outfit in the Pyramid - 5 Leagues of 20 teams in Tier4 - that means they are in the Equal 9th Division! Found his level me thinks!

Id rather be 100 miles from English Football Clubs with heritage than a no mark German bundesliga side.

Found his level me thinks! ...but it's not the ninth tier, by the very nature of it being the fifth tier it's the fifth tier. Football pyramids really aren't that difficult to understand.

I always thought Broghammer was technically accomplished, but needed more time to settle into the side. The conditions at BRFC weren't right for him. Looking at the report of Friday's game, it seems as though he came on as a second half sub and had a "dream debut", setting up both goals in a 2:0 win. The victory takes SV Wiesbaden to the top of the table after two games. The game on Friday, against FC Ederbergland, was watched by 380 spectators. (That's three hundred and eighty). www.fupa.net/berichte/broghammer-und-weitere-zwei-neue-181190.html
