Some bizarre set up by Tisdale today for sure. 1 up front, Harley playing a holding/deep role? Constant long balls up to the hopeless Stockley? Surely they don’t normally play like this? He (Tisdale) played into Coventry’s hands all day long. On a side note, Boatang also looked absolutely woeful.
Saying that, 4 cracking goals! Back to the Ricoh casino for the Gas then (think I’ll pass after last seasons visit)

I'd love to see him here but he'll cost way more than we can pay

Mad that Morcecambe’s keeper made “two excellent saves” as well. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43931739

Last 30 minutes was training ground stuff. It's completely dishonest and unprofessional to play the game and not be trying

Thankfully we’re pretty handy at Play Off Finals in recent times!

For those of us old enough to remember, I actually meant Coventry City 2 Bristol City (as they were then) 2. If Sunderland lost against Everton, then, a draw between Coventry and City would save both of them 9for another season in the top flight) and send Sunderland down. City's game kicked off late, allegedly due to crowd congestion, but, really, it was so Coventry/City would know how it was going for Sunderland. Sunderland's score line allowed Coventry and City to play out a training ground game at the end of the match with neither trying to score. I should add that I wasn't there to witness this blatant cheating/robbery/bringing the game into disrepute.

You were fine with this then? hqttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disgrace_of_Gijón Completely different, that match was played after the other match. There's an odd sentiment towards football in this country where trying is often applauded more than winning. Passion is better than talent. The 50/50 tackle gets a louder cheer than the bit of skill. The Disgrace of Gijon was down to football administration. With regards to both Coventry cases, the season had been played out and clubs had put themselves in the position to carry out that sort of performance. The clubs effected by it in a negative way had 45 matches to get their s**t together and stay up before it got to that point.

But to apply your logic both teams got the result they wanted so I'm surprised you weren't ok with Gijon 1982. You've argued both sides of the debate now

It's easier to after two games of tournament football than after 45. In the end Coventry's decision paid off, they've been promoted and fair f**ks to them.
