In writing his thoughts on Rovers’ matches and rating individual player performances, SteveK192 has given us a regular platform for directing our own opinions about the game.

Ratings would presumably be an average, but might also show variations over time, and maybe consistency. You might surprise yourself. Best / least-best team performances? Most effective formations / selections? Player of the season, performance of the season".
I think it’s only fair to save Steve the number-crunching, so I’ve tried to tabulate the base data on his behalf.
Unless I’ve overlooked them, Steve took a (well-earned!) break from the matches at Scunthorpe (A), Blackpool(A), Bradford (H) and MK Dons (A), so there are no ratings for those games.
I’ve included League matches only, even though Steve was there at Fulham, Wolves and Notts County and wrote his views up.
I’ve omitted any players featuring 5 times or fewer.
SK192 Player Ratings
Steve rated these players highest over the season:
Of the goalkeepers, Steve rated Slocombe (a mean of 6.25 in the 24 matches Steve covered) slightly ahead of Smith (6.18 in 20 matches).
Reading through his reports, Steve clearly wasn’t a big fan of Clarke (O)! In fairness, Ollie himself has admitted in interviews that he a took a while to get back up to speed after injury.
Variations over time.
As a broad brush, we can divide the season into thirds: three groups of 14 matches. Let’s label as “Autumn” the first match away at Charlton, up to Shrewsbury (A); “Winter” covers Rochdale (A) to Oxford (A); “Spring” consists of the remaining third, from Rochdale (H) to the last match at Southend (A).
Autumn
Winter
Spring
In a separate post, I'll tabulate Steve's ratings on "consistency" and "team performances".
