Next season Sunderland will receive a £35 million pound parachute payment. Also, the club has been sold and their previous owner has written off the club's debt. They should walk league 1

They should walk league 1 Fortunately balance sheets don't win leagues. The very nature of the beast that is Sunderland should tell you they should get promotion easily next season however, that's not football. They have a hell of a lot of rebuilding to do and don't yet have a manager or team in place. We'll see what the summer brings.

Why can't Mr Emile Cilliers be put in charge of their parachute payments?!

Must admit in general i believe "balance sheets" do win leagues.
Our task is to be a shrewsbury or a huddersfield and sneak into the frame without big bucks.

As long as we don't have Sunderland away on August 18th, I couldn't care less what Sunderland do next season.

I agree with this. Cash may not win individual matches, but over the course of a season it will win promotion unless they spectacularly mess it up.

They've been playing rubbish on-the-back-foot football for so long that it wouldn't surprise me to see them related again because they don't know how to play any other way. With that stadium and fanbase the club is an absolute disgrace.
