After earlier talks, the EFL clubs have agreed to permanent transfers stopping on Thursday August 9 (2018) at 5pm which brings the EFL into line with the change made at Premier League level last September.
Further, EFL clubs can sign players on Standard Loan up to 31st August 2018, sign players on Standard Loan up to 31st August 2018 with an option to agree a permanent transfer when the next window opens and register players who ceased to be registered with a club during the period up until 31st August 2018, also clubs can transfer players out to a club in any league whose window is still open.
So hopefully we should have a squad by the start of the season, ooh unless we rely on a load of loans....

Don’t expect much apart from bench warming loans. I fully expect Harrison to go and I feel Lockyer could well go too. It’s going to be an interesting summer and we have 13 games left to hopefully improve our position and get a little more money. I’ve no delusions of a play off spot. I would like to see Telford get a run of games now as we have effectively been playing with 10 men with Nichols on the pitch. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see him prove many of us wrong but , right now, he looks like our most expensive folly ever

Net loss £220k, which in today's money, allowing for retail inflation, is about £350k. Allowing for transfer fee inflation, that's more like £1.2million!

I had forgotten about him, probably on purpose !
