They're giving us money, I suppose we should turn it down? Does it say in the article how much they are contracted to pay, for the privilege of sponsoring the Football Conference? I should be interested in the answer, as I don't think that it mentions it in the link.

Vanarama; much more worthy than a bunch of thieving, cheating, conniving crooks that constitutes Barclays.

VEHICLE leasing company Vanarama have been confirmed as the Football Conference’s new sponsors on a deal The NLP understands is worth around £2m.
Conference clubs gathered at AFC Telford for their pre-season meeting today (Wednesday) where the deal was announced.
The deal, understood to be for three-years and worth almost £700,000 a year, sees the Hemel Hempstead-based firm take over from payment company Skrill with Non-League’s top competition being renamed the Vanarama Conference.
The Premier will be dropped from the top-tier of Non-League with it simply being known as the Vanarama Conference with the Step 2 divisions being named the Vanarama Conference North and Vanarama Conference South.
Viewing figures were high for the 30 live BT Sport games last season and the deal ends a six-month search for the Conference after they agreed to mutually end Skrill’s involvement a year into their three-year contract.
Conference chairman Brian Lee said: “I am sure I speak for the whole of the Football Conference family, in welcoming such a competitive and innovative brand as Vanarama, to become our new title sponsor.
“We all look forward to working with Andy (Alderson, Vanarama managing director) and his first class committed team to establish a partnership going forward which will be of major benefit to both over the next few years.
“Branding is a key element in this sponsorship for Vanarama, who will now be able to link their rapidly growing name, allied to our national sport through our position in it, backed with vibrant media coverage.”

It doesn't matter how much the sponsorship (circa £750,000 - not to be sniffed at) is, as it's unlikely to be money laundered from drug deals or PPS scams.
Vanarama probably won't be stealing the money from unsuspecting customers (sic).

I didn't realise that SKRILL had pulled out early, but then I suppose I didn't give a toss before!

UTG Indeed Darlo and as long as Andy of Bananarama is there at the end of the season to give us the Champions cheque (and the cheque doesn't bounce!) I will be a happy man....

Really not sure what the fuss is about ....
Vanarama ....
Don't get it ?
If it was called "Juan Ka League for the Shat on Supporter" perhaps some on here would feel more at home?

as I understand it this mob are paying far more than the last lot who asked to get out of contract early, so more money for all clubs.
Dont care if Gay Pride, or Mothers Pride sponsor it - its money clubs in these leagues need to reduce losses.
I note some clubs have signs saying 'Proud to be part of the Bananarama Conference' - now that I would object to, or add a 'Not' at the beginning of the sentence, or 'Do you see what you've done Higgs' at the end, in Crayon, if the nurses let me.
