Thanks Padstow, but it's getting more and more confusing, someone has just told me that the fence and ground works were £50k. Does anyone actually know any facts about this, or is the entire thing just a load of noise and Chinese whispers? Think of the bigger picture. You will get it

We are being invited to accept that the owners won't pay for work, or are not meeting the times for payments, but it's all kind of half accusations and whispers. I'm in no mood to defend these owners, but maybe the contractors did a rubbish job, maybe they didn't finish it, maybe they did a great job and it came in under the estimate, maybe there was a problem with the final price, maybe a load of other possibilities, I'm not damning Wael and Hani based on 3rd party mumbles that nobody seems confident enough in to actually put any detail to. If someone actually wants to say something they should just spit it out, otherwise there's nothing to see here.

More like: Mamma Mia, here we go again. I would like to know if we just have a butt hurt contractor who has done a rubbish job and is trying to deflect blame, or if Rovers are being a bit naughty not paying someone who has done a good job. Agree entirely. Could someone please give a clear statement of facts about the situation between the fencing contractor and the club/Dwane sports. All we seem to get is partial comments, that reveal only part of the picture

Now whether solicitors were involved or not I do not know so I cannot confirm or deny the rumour of legal proceedings

I still do. Hopefully the agreed payment plan has been brought back up to date. Why do we need a payment plan? How much was this fence and these groundworks? Was it a million quid or something? I know nothing about this, so just to stop us playing 'Post Ping Pong' and help me understand what happened, the work was done and it was agreed at the outset that the payments would be made over a period of time, is that right? Have there been questions / complaints / queries about the quality / specification of the work and was the work completed on time? Has the payment schedule been adhered to? Lack of cashflow I presume. No idea and no idea. My contact was not the fencing contractor who also agreed to a payment plan. Normal nett monthly invoices. No and yes. As of December at least one of the payment plans had not been adhered to.

I thought the fencing company have connections with stadium manager? Not to my knowledge although that is not a definite yes or no.I was given what information from an employee of the company and verified by a manager of a rival bidder who actually said they were glad they didn't get the contract.

Ah, ok. Cheers for that, P. I mean, why would a stadium manager have social, if not business (in loose sense of the word) interests with a fencing firm? What possible pitch could be made there? Nothing, I guess. As you were..

oh, I see
that explains why Wael suggested that payments 'might not have been made for a reason', or something like that
so from a big picture point of view it's a complete red herring. If you'll excuse the very poor choice of phrase
so, has that Mamma Mia follow-up been made?

An alternative theory.
Dwayne Sport order the fence as they own the ground but expect BRFC to pay for it. BRFC are unhappy as they think Dwayne Sport should have paid for it.
BRFC only agree to pay it in instalments.
