I think it might be the player we haven't signed yet! Agreed. Although I fancy Lee Brown to score a number from set pieces.

Based on his goal ratio last season if Jamie White stays fit he should be on for at least 20 goals and Matty Taylor should make double figures.

Hopefully Brunt will be the next Lambert! Agreed. Brunty to score 35 and be sold for £3m to a prem side without even limping all season.

I'm hoping our three senior strikers can all reach double figures, with at least one of them getting to 20. I think White is most likely to achieve that.
PeterHooper, I can't see Brown getting many goals at all this season, particularly from set-pieces. Bar his great goal at Wycombe, the majority of the free-kicks he chose to shoot from were absolutely woeful. Personally I hope he's nowhere near the set-pieces we get in and around the penalty box this season unless it's to cross from the right hand side.

If we are to have a decent season then somebody needs to step up and get 20 plus goals, i think if White can stay fit for at least 75% of the season then i think he is the most likely to achieve that. The key thing is keeping Brunt, Taylor & White fit, because if they do then we have a very decent strikeforce even with Ellis coming on from the bench for the last 15 minutes to do something crap like turn a mis hit pass into an assist or put the ball in the net off his knee or something.

Ellis isn't going to make it as a professional footballer unfortunately. The other 3 look promising though, although would like another as we are short if we get injuries.

Completely agree, problem is we are stuck with him for the next 2 years as nobody is going to try and sign him. I think DC will look at the striker situation towards the end of August when there will be some good quality players available for a loan as the free agent market is now finished.

Yes, we are but we can't keep relying off Ellis off the bench. Will give him a chance for a few games but he has a lot to prove. A striker on loan would be a good idea as could hopefully mean we get someone with a bit of quality.

I'd like to think that as long as he can stay injury-free, then Ryan Brunt is due a cracking season. When he first came here I was really impressed with him, but be rather lost his way, which is perfectly understandable given his injury record. I've read a couple of times in the local press that he took himself off to the USA for treatment, at his own expense. That shows me that he is determined to make a go of it this season, so all things being equal I would expect him to do very well for us. Good luck Ryan.

For me this is the last chance for Brunt. He is no use to us injured all the time.

For me this is the last chance for Brunt. He is no use to us injured all the time.I don't expect that he is enjoying it for one moment steve, do you? ALL players (well most at any rate) have injuries in the course of their career, and I would imagine that it was as frustrating for the player as it is for the club and supporter . . . assuming that the player is genuine of course. With Ryan Brunt I'm quite certain that we are not talking about similar players with injuries, that BRFC have employed in the past few seasons. Rather than being a complete drain on the club, if the local press are to be believed he has undergone treatment at his own expense. Speaking personally I've never heard of that occurring before. I'm looking forward to seeing Ryan charging about the pitch again, and knocking in a few goals as well. How about you? But to give the issue some perspective, two of my favourite all-time players, Geoff Bradford and Alfie Biggs, both sustained serious knee injuries in the course of representing BRFC. The fans reaction at the time was (and I paraphrase here) . . . Damn and blast, what a nuisance, hope the player(s) will soon be OK and playing again soon. But mind you, that was a while ago. Quite different rules seem to apply today.
