The rules. You must take in to consideration the following
1. The number of seats in the ground 2. The amount of cover (to stop you getting wet) 3. The facilities. Toilets. Food and drink outlets.
Who has got the worst ground in the league?
My answer is Accrington

The sad thing is we're probably in the list of the top 20 for this "honour".

Gillingham (particularly from an 'away fan' perspective).

Stanley, Crawley, Newport, Wimbledon and Rovers are the bottom five. I think you have to take into account what the club at that stadium needs. Some people may say FGR, but the New Lawn is perfect for their needs.

Ah already gone - Barnet then The Hive? You must be thinking of Underhill, surely? Newport is worse than Mem, ditto Accrington, But we are definitely down there.

I have a huge softspot for Accrington's ground but it is the worst in the league by a long way - it would be a poor ground at Conference North level and I'm not joking cos I've been to quite a few now.
However, in terms of crap away experience it doesn't come close (it's a quite pictureseque, there are some decent pubs in the vicinity and the locals are normally good value). The worst away ground I've been to is Chesterfield without a shadow of a doubt. A soulless identikit ground in a Tesco's car park located in the most boring/slight menacing suburb on earth.

I've done Chesterfield twice (infact I think our only two visits to the new ground) and despite terrible Gas performances on both occasions, I had a reasonable day out. Think the town has some old school charm and plenty of decent boozers, it's a bit of a walk from the pubs/station, but it's just about doable without faffing with public transport/paying through the nose for a cab. As much as The Mem gets slated, I can't think of many (if any) that offer a better range of pubs/food options than Gloucester Road and whilst what I look for in a matchday experience isn't the same as everyone else; I'd much rather be at The Mem than play at Oxford/Shrewsburys grounds. Two id only go to again if it was a crucial game.

It was a ruin come the end and was about to be condemned by the authorities. The away terrace won’t be missed by anybody who ever got soaked on it stood behind a 6’ supporter.
