An extract from the actual BRSC notes from Saturday's match day programme "Following the Supporters Club’s recent Annual General Meeting the Committee met the following week to discuss a major issue that will become public in due course and also to sort out the various positions made vacant during the last eighteen months or so. The club has been without a Vice-Chairman since Chris Walker stood down last season and long-serving Matchday Organiser Phil Draper has stepped-up to undertake this role whilst continuing to run our sales cabin in the car park on match days. Our erstwhile Secretary Sue Williams has also been carrying out the Treasurer’s duties alongside her secretarial role and she has now taken over the former position permanently. This move left a gap filled by David Thomas who has become Club Secretary. David will continue his fine work on our website as well as taking the minutes at meetings in future. Helen Wigmore will continue to organise the Share Scheme for the time being although this may alter if we elect another Director to replace Brian Seymour Smith in due course. The Football Club has indicated they do not see the need for a replacement as they consider one S.C. Director to be more than sufficient in a greatly reduced Board of just four members at present compared with the eight that served on the Board before the takeover. However, we have legally binding agreement for a second BRSC Director, in substitution for the right to appoint an Associate Director, having subscribing for and being allocated 200,000 Subscription Shares. We are currently in negotiations with the FC Chairman regarding this important issue. Talking of the Share Scheme, it was nice to have a decent take-up of members to a buffet in the Executive Bar before the Checkatrade Trophy match here against Swindon and this is something we would like to repeat in future but of course it is difficult to fit in availability in a hectic League campaign when all the bars are normally busy. Those who continue to pay into the Scheme certainly deserve some reward for their loyalty. We are very much need three points today so please get behind the boys in blue and white– Up the Pirates! Jim Chappell" As Sprout pointed out, and demonstrated, that's available to everyone, not just members. It sounds like the Director issue was not explained, let alone thrown out for discussion by the foot soldiers, at the AGM. Also, as he mentions 'a major issue that will become public in due course' and then mentions the Director issue, the major issue is presumably a different issue, which they're not consulting about either (or even telling anyone about, other than bigging themselves up by pointing out that they know something you don't know). I'm not seeing the benefits of membership. Beyond all that, the SS is the business of people who paid into it - a damn site more than £10 a year. It was not funded by the benificence of the SC; it was funded by others and entrusted to them to administer. They've mismanaged it, and shown disdain for those whose good will enabled it. Oh, and on the 'major issue to be made public in due course', given their administrative track record, the thought 'what now?' springs to mind.

To be quite honest if supporters members want to join a Club to enable them to travel by coaches to away games, get priority over tickets or pay into a share scheme (basically as a donation) that's entirely up to them so no need to have a go at them.
Frankly I imagine most don't give a damn about your ramblings and don't want to get involved too much in the politics.
To be brutally honest they just want to enjoy the entertaining football and as a bonus better facilities and of course Derby matches again and Championship football. Speaking to many SS members at the recent buffet before the Swindon match they don't worry about where their subscriptions have gone. So don't worry your cotton socks anymore...life's too short ass they say

'Enjoy the entertaining football'? Wimbledon only play here once a season Hamer says we could be the next Wimbledon, so dare to dream. The Crazy gang I believe he wanted us to become. Had plenty of characters and hard men like Vinny Jones, Dennis Wise, Dave Beasant, John Fashanu,Mick Harford and Lawrie Sanchez.
Not sure Ollie Clarke, Chris Lines, Tom Lockyer, Ellis Harrison and Rory Gaffney could ever get that crazy....

What is it with you and "hard men". They are winners current side too nice in my humble opinion ...we want some thugs like we had with David Pipe, Vaughan Jones and James Hunt type players ...mind you I think Tom Broadbent has the makings.
We don't cope well physically in League One.
Being a Chelsea fan of the 1970s loved seeing Harris, McCreadie, Webb, Hutchinson all dish it out ...they were winners could make a tackle and stand up to anyone.

If we do not cope physically with the third division, then that does not mean I would want to bring back thugs. If that's what you want to watch, then there are pubs up town you can see it for free. I like strong players who never get bullied and who can make great tackles, but give me class acts who can deliver this physicality cleanly and legally, please. Thugs and criminals can stay away, thanks.

We all agree, Kenny Swain is a Fairy....... Plus Peter "Mary" Houseman.... my serious point about Rovers ball winers and strong tacklers is made by many fans every matchday. We do not impose ourselves on games and fail to break up play.
Everyone loves a creative player and David Williams, Vitas Astajevs Stuart Campbell and currently Chris Lines are among my all time favourites but we really do need physically stronger players to make progress.

Oh dear poor Mike has lost the plot (again) I truly can't think of one team James Hunt would improve in any way. Perhaps you should speak to Vaughan at the next home game and tell him you mentioned him in the same breathe as James Hunt

I remember Chelsea at that time as being pretty much like their supporters, a couple of little guys who didn't do much but mostly just violent thugs. Can't think of anything good about the club, then or now, just plain horrible.
