Slight over reaction at Hyde United there. Oh give them their moment Rex - they've had a terrible time. The heart of their club was ripped out by Man City and their deep in the financial cacky. About the only good thing to happen to them for 15 years. I might go to that one if I can get a ticket. Terrible draw for us - possibly the worst of what was available actually.

we have never lost to Notts County in FA cup
ok only one previous FA Cup tie against Notts County was over 100 years ago.The FA Cup brought great excitement and success to Eastville. On 11th January 1913, having unusually won four out of five Southern League matches, Rovers recorded a 2-0 victory over Notts County. Prior to World War One, this was the club’s only victory over a First Division club. County’s record appearance maker, Albert Iremonger, was in goal, at 6ft 5¼ins being the tallest opponent to face Rovers until Stockport County’s Kevin Francis in 1993. Despite eight hours of heavy rain, the match went ahead and, after five corners in quick succession, Harry Roe’s low drive gave the home side the lead after twenty five minutes. Seven minutes from time, Billy Peplow’s cross was turned in by Jimmy Shervey with the aid of a deflection off County’s right-back Herbert Morley. A crowd of 15,000 - all five FA Cup crowds surpassed the highest League attendance - made Rovers’ day complete.
Footnote: One rule change for the new 1912/13 season was that goalkeepers could only handle the ball inside the penalty area, not as previously anywhere in their half of the field. This alteration did little to help Rovers, who needed to wait until their ninth Southern League match to record their first win.
