That's the one we were told today too. Buy the one assert (apart from Billy) that we have, go with UWE's terms for the ground and bugger off 5 or 6 years later. Guess what? Tenants again. But why sell the land to a Chinese billionaire ? There must be more to it as it makes no difference how rich the party that buys the mem is. Selling the land shouldn't be an issue, it's funding any development that is Non-citizens need to apply to the foreign review board in Australia prior to being apply to purchase land (although there’s an unwritten brown paper bag process). It does however enable a political layer to interject should any sale and purchase of an asset not be in the country’s interest. Whilst the above scenario is rumour it’s also a scranario which is foreseeable. Therefore this is where the FA should be strong enough to prevent or restrict the sale of a club if the new owners can foreseeable compromise the future of said club. However the FA have demonstrated incompetence in their implementation of the fit and proper test and so Rovers may be left to the wolves in any future sale scenario.

I think FIRB is essentially one guy in an office with a rubber stamp isn't it?

Are we an attractive proposition I imagine Wael thought so.
I speculate if Club sold will Hamer and Clarke depart and new owners bring in their own men ? Worrying times

Catch 22 though as if the ALQ's don't start investing soon in the ground and training faculties Clarke will be off anyway? If they've taken us as far as they can perhaps it's best they moved on, although are they looking for potential buyers of the club or just investors? As far as GG buying the Mem for development, what's the source of that rumour as would a billionaire really take the time and effort just to view a bit of real estate in Bristol, if he did want to see it couldn't he pick a better day than a match day to visit it? Regardless it seems odd timing for a Chinese billionaire owner of Wolves to turn up for a game at the Mem!

Maybe he saw Ellis playing in the cup game at Molineux and he liked what he saw so much he came in person to drop off the contract and the suitcase of cash?

Sounds like a lot of bollocks( or perhaps wishful thinking) to me but lots enjoy Chinese takeaways round here...maybe its the answer to the pie gate scandal or maybe Wolves feel the compensation given to us for youth striker Donovan Wilson has been increased to a million pounds and he delivered it in old £10 notes !

So, we've reached about the third degree of speculation based on practically nothing, seem to have cracked exactly what's going on (however unlikely) and, of course, defaulted to that being 'a bad thing'. Jolly good. Now for a couple more pages to spin more bollocks, extrapolate further without any evidence whatsoever, and convince ourselves that it's even worse than we originally thought. Hey, we can all be convinced and terminally miserable about total hypotheticals by about Thursday. Happy days.

Neurotic, insecure f*wits.
I try to let everyone carry on.
But it's bloody hard sometimes just trying to support the club you love without distraction of whom is taking over whom, whom is talking on a microphone for 5mins to an audience of his own making; and whom is not, and whether the f******g pasties are up to scratch?!
Jesus wept.
We won yesterday.
Or did we? Cos if someone had a cr@p pastry product, or can't get an angle on an oriental dignitary, or can't get access to prestigious place for snip, all of a sudden we have a crisis!
Some folk,..... really ? ?

Never make a drama out of a crisis ...as you say things are going splendidly well.
Beating the bottom team convincingly.
Not worried about draws its now 19 without one and fourteen matches without a clean sheet.
Players being selected for Wales and Republic of Ireland missing matches and we are not missing them.
Manager with a five year contract.
New Training Ground being prepared for next Summer.
Still in three cup competitions Checkatrade, FA Cup and Gloucestershire Senior Cup.
What's not to like ?

Some folk,..... really ? ? Good innit? That one about the pie tasting ought to be framed as a case study. How can a pie tasting cause outrage? If you don't want to taste pies, don't go, but don't fret about it. It's a pie tasting. Pound to a penny that a thread titled 'There's not going to be a pie tasting' would have been just as big a cue for despair, proof positive that all is going to hell in a handcart and that all is rotten at the heart of the club - maybe even from the same folk and with the same 'reasoning'. If people are so desperate to spot grounds for bonkers analysis and major concern that they'll jump on a pie tasting, no wonder the thought of Chinese people rapidly escalates to a global conspiracy. Meanwhile, a third division football club won 2-1.
