Will we be a better team if and when the beard comes back? Sometimes we will, and sometimes we won't.

Will we be a better team if and when the beard comes back? There are times when we need to just fight and win the midfield battle. No fancy flicks. No Hollywood passes. Just graft and win the 50/50 balls. These times are when we need the Beard. These times are (IMHO) most of the time.

For me he doesn't hold his position and because he ends up here there and everywhere he creates gaps for the opposition to exploit. Can get away with it most weeks in conference or L2 but not at this level. Will always be a legend though in my eyes

Will always be a legend though in my eyes There's a role for him when 'disruption' is needed, but I don't see him as part of my ideal first XI. As you say, good teams will exploit the gaps he leaves but not all teams in L1 are good enough to do that.

I'm just pleased he's left the doubters flat on their arse with the 'not good enough to play in league 2/1' as the promotions kept coming & the MOM performances kept rolling in. What a guy.

The likes of Sinclair cover for those risks, and sometimes build on them. All part of the balance that a good squad needs, and I think he has been missed.

But where do you play him and who do you drop. Possibly in a midfield 3 when 4 3 3 In front of midfield in a 4 4 1 1 Not in 4 4 2 at this level, I would suggest.

Not left side of a front 3 which is one of DCs more curious decisions

Given some of our recent peformances, Sincs will be straight in the team if he were fit.
His energy and constant movement does seem to drive the team on in a different way.
Definitley missed him against Bradford and against Oldham when we needed someone to close down, rush and force errors

What have the Romans ever done for us ?
All right, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh-water system, and public health, Stuart Sinclair, what have the Romans ever done for us?
