I struggle to see a foreign audience for this other than iFollow users who could have watched it that way if it wasn't on TV? Very odd.

You need to listen to the Soccerex "International Ownership and Investment" forum, on which Waël was a panellist. link to Soccerex International Ownership and Investment Forum (especially 22'30" to 23'10" and the discussion immediately preceding it). Key point: Waël would like to grow interest in Rovers in the MENA [Middle East North Africa] region...and to expand worldwide coverage of Rovers via media initiatives such as iFollow. So maybe the general broadcast of a League 1 game is a first step towards expanding support for a particular League 1 club. Let's hope we win well up at Glanford Park, then! Waël at Soccerex (Thread)

Can it be shown live on a Saturday at 3pm? Seems a strange senerio that supporters (those who invest money by way of ticket sales etc) can't watch it but strangers in another country can! I can't imagine any other business where this would be tolerated. Rant over, i'll get my coat

Rant over, i'll get my coat I agree, I think its totally odd and given the proliferation of VPN etc I can only conclude the FL are knowingly providing a way to circumvent the broadcasting law that is designed to protect the interests of their clubs.

Yes - I think the days of 3PM broadcast restrictions may be numbered. I'm not sure it makes all that much sense in the modern world.
