Yes it does and so many have been not just happy but are fully of accepting the soundbite of evolution not revolution when, in fact, it needs a bit of both. As much as it pains me to write this, many of the players DC worked with, to get us to where we are now we're still players bought in under NH. There is no doubt that Wael endeared himself to the fans and has been much more fans friendly but that wouldn't take much doing eh. I am beginning to get a little jittery about the 10 million against the mem yet still we are not seeing it spent of proven players. I can't help but wonder that DC was maybe sold a dummy in promises made. He is definitely not the type to be easily fooled and certainly gives the impression of a man who likes to do things his own way and this is why it puzzled me that he so openly said we would have 10-14 new players in and would be pushing for promotion. While that may see ST's sell more freely, we have yet to see the number of players in and yet again we are not buying proven players for a promotion push The manager may well be a minor miracle worker with lost or damaged players but surely no one can expect him to get another promotion when the quality of players coming in leave questions to be answered. We now have the owners being very quiet and have little to nothing to go on and the squad, as it is, is not big enough nor does it have the right balance, to start out a promotion campaign in my opinion. I keep saying it and will say it again, I hope to be probed wrong but I predict a raft of late loans as our 1st,2nd and 3rd choices don't come. Something just doesn't sit right for me and I hope it's the piles Turn up & watch a DC team. You don't need a side full of proven/journeymen players to achieve success at this level. I think that's been more than obvious over the last couple of years, in the divisions we've been operating. The squad (with one or two additions) we currently have will finish in the top 6 come May. comfortably. Save this post. I am so wanting this to be right

Managed to find this historic thread from before the time our club fell off of the cliff. Those sunny days when all we had to worry about was whether we could get this fantastic player back for a seasons loan.
Yes UWE is disappointing, there have been loads of speculation as always, informed or not, how why whether should could didn't useless bankrupt committed selling mistakes disinterested naïve past present future.
I'm on promotion at 7/1. I still look forward to the season and hope we get average attendances of 9,000+ this year creating a good atmos coming from pubs a minute from the ground. I'm happy to have my season ticket and cant wait to get behind the famous B&W Quarters, standing up for Ellis when those around accuse him of everything, getting very wet in the East Terrace, all fantastic tbh.
