Or deal with the actual reality. The papers love to bang on about how expensive top flight football is, but it's easy to get tickets to most Premier League games for around £30. Granted, that's more than we pay to stand and watch Rovers, but in a sane world you would expect to pay more to be entertained by Ruthie Henshall than by Susan Boyle, wouldn't you? Well clearly chelsea are better than bristol rovers and a season ticket will cost much more and a percentage of fans wont be able to go to matches,ie "priced out" Music is a very personal thing,i wouldnt want to watch susan boyle or the other women as its not my thing. In other words its a lousy comparision. if a person thought "boy zone" were the best ever band that would be valid because musical taste is subjective despite music snobbery that perceives certain artists more worthy. But chelsea are better than rovers without a doubt.

But chelsea are better than rovers without a doubt. No they are not. They are a version of the Harlem Globetrotters funded by a Russian who exploited (being kind) the collapse of his own country. That's not a football club. It's a play thing funded by the poor in Russia.

But chelsea are better than rovers without a doubt. I didn't say 'all' PL matches, and that was for a very good reason. We won't follow the model of Chelsea or Man City, that's been made clear. But yes, prices will increase, no doubt there will be some people who will find even a small increase un-affordable I would urge those people to speak to the club, luckily for us, Wael and Mr Hamer are approachable and I don't believe for one second that they will be comfortable with long serving loyal fans being shut out, I'm sure they will find a way to help. And I'm with Oldie, Chelski aren't better than Rovers, there's nothing left of the original club. I can't express it better than he did, they are the London football equivalent of the Harlem Globtrotters. Edit. We are a bit ahead of ourselves here. Didn't we just find out who we are playing next season in the 3rd division?

No,we need a new ground and the club has to strive to get into the championship and ultimately the premiership. Just believe there is a price to pay metaphorically if/when these things happen. But I'm afraid if you subscribe to todays ethos of modern capitalism, that tis the way of the world. Tis all about supply and demand, simples! I don't think anyone here needs explanation of that. Like I said earlier, there are other ways. Just need forward thinking to implement such a concept.. Supply and demand of course, always. But businesses that are purely reactive fail, eventually. Good businesses think about sustainability of demand - loyalty, in other words. Goodwill can be an accounting asset.

People do realise the Premier League is cheaper for away fan? Away tickets in the top flight are capped at £30. In the Championship Sheffield Wednesday were charging up to £52 last season... Fifty Two pounds...

Looking back a few decades when I first started going to Eastville, there was every chance any league club could attain the heights of the old Div 1. Now, that's the niche for the rich and privileged. The days of old were much better IMO as you could relate much easier than now, to the players you watched.
Look at the salaries paid now...EPL full of expensive foreign players keeping out locals and contributing IMO, to the demise of the national team.
