Leyton Orient: Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins CEO completes takeover
Nigel Travis Nigel Travis became chief executive of Dunkin Brands in 2009 A consortium led by Baskin Robbins and Dunkin' Donuts chief executive Nigel Travis has completed its takeover of Leyton Orient.
Details of the amount paid by the consortium and the total stake acquired have not been disclosed.
The takeover ends Italian businessman Francesco Becchetti's troubled three-year stay as O's owner.
The club recently staved off a winding-up petition at the High Court, having paid off debts to four creditors.
Following the dismissal of the winding-up petition, representatives of the Leyton Orient Fans' Trust (LOFT) had urged Becchetti to sell the club "urgently to any new responsible owner".

Good.
They desperately needed Bechetti to go. He's gone. I hope the new guy's a good one.

Travis & Co had been rumoured for about 3-4 months. Bechetti was not easy to deal with (too put it as mildly as possible). Fantastic news for the O's. The new owners came across very well on local media and have been made as welcome as possible. Travis is no Wael Al-Qadi - but as good as they could possibly have hoped for. I'll be at Brisbane Road when I can't get to Rovers... UTO's and UTG.
