It's now 3 for the price of 4. Oh well I will have to eat at Tesco (full fry up) before I go to the Welly then. Do they still serve Dark Side?

F me, here we go again. It's barely June and yet people are still complaining about the same old stuff. "DC takes too long signing players!" - it's called "off-season" for a reason; plus, I'd much rather take our time signing the right players than shoving 22 overpaid journeymen into the team and praying to heavens they gel quickly "X team is looking into Fairly Known Player and we're looking into Non-League Player!" - like our back-to-back-promotion-winning squad wasn't mostly the same since the Conference days "We missed out on Overrated Player (there's ALWAYS one, this season was Ricky Miller), we lack ambition!" yes, sure, let's risk everything for one player like it isn't 11v11 I thought that stupidity, conservatism and needless complaining was restrained to the Appreciation FB group, but it seems to be stuck inside the heads of the fanbase for as long as I can remember... There's people that need John Ward and the Hoofball Squad from 2014 all over again to get something to scream at. FFS. The world will never be short of clowns mate, and we have our fair share. DC promoted 4 times in 6 seasons as a manager, WAQ creating a legacy for BRFC that Gasheads could only have thought impossible under previous regimes. The best footballing academy in the south west being built, an u23 squad taking shape. Backroom staff at a level ready for championship. Yet the clowns are out in force, i wonder if any of these clowns were alive to witness Ray Kendall being told to keep an eye on toilwt rolls and bars of soap to make sure they are fully used and not wasted, or gerry francis help pay for players wages. If any of the whingers were around in those days you need to have a proper word with yourself, if you dont like sensible and sustainable running of a club there is always a club the other side of the river who are absolutely flying by throwing away large wads of cash.

It's what happens when you have a fanbase composed mostly of people wondering what the Teds are doing instead of what WE'RE doing. Since they're in the Championship, with money and a big stadium, people forget how they almost got relegated anyway and continue to compare us to them, and get angry when we don't do things how they would. They compare Mem to Gate, Wael to Lansdown, Abu Ghassam to Abraham, with no context or sense of proportion, just the urge to be better than City ASAP. I'd much rather take my time and build a better club every season, THEN beat whoever else.

I think its a mix of short memory, completely unworldly expectations for immediate and endless gratification, and a pseudo-masochistic thrill from self-pity and whingeing. How anyone who has supported this club over any length of time can be despondent about the state of things in summer 2017 beggars belief. I guess despondency must be deep within these little bundles of misery. That's a bit sad. Hey ho.

Imagine having the neck to moan/criticise the decision making of WAQ, yet didn't make a peep when Higgs was destroying the club & plunging it into impending doom on an almost daily basis.
Incredible really.

Sometimes I do wonder what planet people are on. The Club has moved on leaps, and bounds since May 2014 when we were nearly consigned to the history books. We are now a financially stable club that owns its own training facilities that will be operational next year, we are actually buying players and according to Steve Hamer in his interview today, we will have a top six budget for the coming season. To me this is heaven and I for one am very happy indeed.

It definitely seems as though every premise of this argument (which was already as weak as piss) has been demolished in the last 2 days.
