I think when he came into a struggling side he was far too immature for the situation he was thrust into and very lightweight.I feel there is a talent there but he needs to improve on his stature body wise if he can beef up a bit he could do a good job for any lower league club

It's a no from me but as others have said it must have been impossible for him that season. We were awful and in the last match when he came on he got some crosses in but we had no one to get on the end although didn't Macca hit the bar from one? In that team even Lionel Messi would have struggled! UTG!

Besides the final whistle, still one of the only things that stick in my mind to this day.

Used to watch him in training and under 18's. If I remember correctly then Glenn Hoddle has/had a place in Spain that took cast offs and trained them. I think he did fairly well in placing a few back into the pro game. Hands up those that haven't made mistakes & not applied themselves ? As padstow rightly says, he was stuck into the team at a wrong time plus the other players were all trying to micromanage him. He got a fair amount of stick, sad to say. Maybe he really fits the DC school of thought ?

IMHO DC's school of thinking would be that if Derby's coaching (the same coaching that has allowed other Derby youth to progress through their ranks) hasn't allowed Mr Santos to perform at Notts County or Eastleigh, then Mr Santos in not the right fit for Rovers. Having seen Mr Santos perform (or not) for Rovers, I would be happy not to see him on our books again.
