Yep. He's taken us as far as he can and can leave the club with head held high.
Unless major investment is forthcoming.

I hope DC does move on, plenty of clubs out there who would love to have him, clubs who will give him what he deserves a proper budget and a proper infrastructure. The new owners are great talkers but there's no substance to anything, far to many have been fooled by it.

Whilst I understand the budget comment surely the infrastructure has been put in place and as for no substance, i beg to differ what about the new training ground. I feel that DC has made the remark to show his ambition, the club now have to act on it otherwise he will go to somebody like Norwich.

Altwrnatively whats the panic
"My supporters, like myself, and my owners, we wanna move forward"
A lot of things are made of budgets, I know where we are, we're a bottom half of League One budget team. But budgets are not the be all and end all, we now need to take stock of how we move things forward."

We own a farmers field. We own a farmer's field suitable for training ground development. We own the Memorial Ground. We hope to own a stadium at UWE. We would own Farmersfield All, if Higgs was still in situ.

Failure to deliver a training ground & stadium Selling your best player and not getting in a replacement Piss poor budget No need to worry though because evolution not revolution is so cool. Training grounds of 29acres ready develpoed with 4g available to buy are ten a penny are they an we could have bought one off the shelf We know the Taylor story and i guess we should have got any old bloke in to replace him. We still managed to have a good go at the playoffs without him. Says plenty about DC and the rest of the team to me. We need to improve to go up, but we have a platform to build on. Who wouldnt take our situation right now over the one 3 years ago?

Wow looks like we're on for a League One top 10 finish, our own training ground is under development, we have a top class manager and unless I've missed something, UWE is still on-going. Yet some are still not happy? If people feel the need to be miserable, perhaps a trip down memory lane to 3rd May 2014 would help?

It might just be a case of the club not at the stage of the "evolution" to match the managers ambition because of the speed of the teams progress? We might lose dc without it actually being anybodys fault.

We might lose dc without it actually being anybodys fault. If that happens then I honestly think he will go with the blessing of many of us. He has done better than most before him. The club is in a much better place than it has been for years, if he does go the only thing I ever hope is that we go for another young manager or keep it is house.

The new owners are great talkers but there's no substance to anything, far to many have been fooled by it. The training ground is coming, but I agree, unless the manager can be convinced that the stadium is happening, and soon, then he'll be off. Ref budget, that's not as simple as you're making it sound. Any squad that get you promoted from L2 are, in my opinion, entitled to a chance to show what they can do in L1, the standard isn't hugely different. What happens with budget and recruitment this summer is more important. Best Player / Taylor comment, I guess you want to go back to the good old bad old ways of panic signings, Taylor ran out the door at the last possible minute, suppose we could have phoned Matty Harold or that bloke Gow and asked if they were free? It may turn out that you are right, but you are stating an opinion as fact.

Everyone including DC very down as season is effectively over .But team and Mem not ready yet to go higher and DC deserves a proper rest.Think the summer will be interesting and looking forward to next season.Need the owners to make a statement of intent. Thanks DC who has done the best possible on his budget. Thanks everyone for all you have done .Low points for me away at;Shrewsbury,Walsall,Coventry and Vale. New strikers needed and no room for sentiment like last summer.

Personally, I think some of the comments in this thread are an insult to DC, and ignore all that he's shown himself to be over the past three years. The interview was immediately after the game which killed of our long shot chance of making the play offs. For balance, maybe listen again to his chat with G20man a few weeks ago, second part in particular - only 22 hours left to hear it again, unfortunately - www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04tl70s
