Despite the rumours of heavy handed stewarding my actual match day experience found the stewards to be polite, friendly and helpful - in fact as good as I have experienced anywhere. Was quickly served a few pints inside the ground before kick off and although it took a bit longer at half time I was still got what I wanted and was back in my seat for the start of the second half. I found my allocated seat very easily and it was vacant. Nobody stood in front of me. I was amazed that all those who wanted to stand seemed to have seat allocations in the same section without bother - incredible. The only disappointment was the football. I certainly had my eyes opened as to how a modern stadium can generate an awful lot of cash. I went into the casino before and after the game and apparently there were other very busy venues also. They would have generated even more if they had a few more staff so you could get served quicker.

Having thought about this 'problem' in a week where there has been a devastating terrorist attack which has catastrophically changed some people's lives forever I find it sad no pathetic that some people are worried, christ even distressed, that they may or may not get to sit in a seat that they didn't even get to choose. So sad the 'problems' people invent in the world today. So why bother posting on here at all about seating or the actual match because its all trivial compared to people losing there lives in london surely? why not shut the forum down for a couple of weeks? if you feel its so bad about a person getting upset because someone is sat in their seat when there is so much evil in the world. I wouldnt be distressed if you were sat in my seat as i can tell by your posts on here your a total tw** so i would just grab you by the ear and give you a kick up the ass and then watch you run off crying your fin* eyes out. Sounds like someone sat in YOUR seat and you ended up crying. Still hard to feel any sympathy for your distress after that rant

Agreed the stewards particularly the women ones were excellent. Still had the unseemly sight of about 30 or so latecomers from the bar standing in the gangways refusing to move despite being asked repeatedly even by gasheads. Took over 20 mins and eventually police to finally get them to move. They were breaching safety as no one could get out to go downstairs to toilets etc. Total meatheads.

There are quite a few older Gasheads who go and there are quite a few families with kids who go. Why should these supporters have to put up with the pissed-up idiots? Probably goes back to the "unallocated seating is better' argument.

This elderly lady steward repeatedly asked these idiots to get out of the gangways and resorted to asking the Police to do it as they refused.Once they did find their seats they were up and down all the game disturbing genuine seated well behaved fans . Do you think of them while spouting your high horse humanist views? I personally feel ashamed of this hypocritcal country that we live in where killing innocent people in the name of greed is fair game yet retaliation is not.

OMG I can't believe a post like this is on this forum. If you have an issue with what is happening in the Middle East, don't blame our Armed Forces, who are told what they must do by their political masters. Go to your MP for a start but don't spout off crap like that on a Rovers forum.

Knock your flask over did they? what is a flask? saw an older man slip down steps because he could not get past the meatheads blocking the gangway as he was trying to see if his wife had managed to get up the steps carrying a hot drink. Many genuine seated fans were unhappy it took 20 mins to move them off the emergency exit steps.
