Last penalty miss 14 Feb 2015 at Grimsby Town...a certain Matty Taylor struck the post from 12 yards but we won 1-0 Tom Lockyer scored the winner. Look what happened to Taylor after that ! But the myth of a slow goalscoring start of Taylor is a myth he scored in his eighth match for Rovers. What, a myth is a myth ? Now you'll tell me there was no Golden Fleece ! but the Golden Fleece is that pub in Twerton, Bath....happy days

Luke is more than playing his part in our decent run of results. Yes he needs a goal but he's setting goals up, working hard and giving the opposition problems

A great assist by him yesterday and as ran himself into the ground again.

This is one of those situations where people are comparing players that are entirely different. Taylor was fortunate to be an out and out goalscorer, he couldn't hold the ball up and was regularly knocked off the ball by opposing defenders, he also bleated a lot if things weren't going his way. Luke James is a far more proficient footballer, works hard off the ball creating gaps that Gaffers is exploiting along with Bodin and Clarke. He is also unselfish and again set up a peach of a through ball for Gaffers on Saturday. His reaction to the penalty save, how many goalkeepers have actually held their ground in the centre of the goalmouth?, was in stark contrast to some we have seen that have collapsed in a heap. He is another honest player, that given our continued support will prove to be a real assett going forward.

Absolutely this. This is particularly import as the '1' in a passing '4231', where the '1' has to hold up and play in one or more of the '3', which can be our two form wingers and, say, SS in front of OC and CL. But if people judge forwards only on goals, then we don't have a Matt Taylor in the squad, so they'll have to wait for next season. This season (as on the other for/against James thead), I vote to give the chap the chance.

@meadgas57 please give Martin my blessings mate. We had many a good argument on the old official forum and I admired him for his belief in what he said as he was proven right with our relegation. He wanted Ward gone before the second season. He was also spot on on other things. I really hope he will be ok. I've had an heart attack and am ok. The funny thing is I didn't even know it as I was very drunk & thought I had cider heartburn. True story

I've been using the vape for 4 years and my cardiologist said he'd be happy if everyone gaped rather than one person smoke. He allows me to vape when in hospital. I always enjoyed Martin's views, he didn't shy away from topics others do. He's a solid gashead

All my family have gave up, my oldest son is vaping and getting on well. Martin can be very blunt with his views and doesn't care if anyone agree's or not, diplomacy is not a strong point of his. He does get proved right a lot though. Hope this post finds you in better health mate. UTG

I am surviviving and it really is a day by day process. It's such a rare disease that no one can really say anything with any definitives. My eyes and ears, lungs & kidneys are under attack right now and I'm terrified of going blind. I best take this to private.
