I've heard a rumour about Ryan Harley, don't know how true it is though.

McNamara reckons it is a 'wide player', not 100% though. Also states Clarke will take a further look at Trotman, so wouldn't think its him.

Keanu marsh brown I'm pretty sure i read last week that would require a fee. Cureton or Coles . I wouldn't want to see either of those here. If anything, if Cureton was a Rovers fan he should have been here two years ago. It's too late now. A wide player delivering crosses would be great. Low hard crosses on a rainy night bouncing around the six yard box.....

McNamara said it's not someone we have seen on trial, so it won't be Trotman or the other two defenders. We'll wait and see.

It would be an hell of a big move from the NE to Bristol for just a 1 year contract?

Monkhouse or Harley look like they would be decent players for us in the conference. I'd be happy if we signed either of these

Depends how rigidly DC sticks to his priinicples regarding the squad being of hungry players earning the right of a contract past a year. He knows we need strength and experience in the midfield and forward line now. He knows Hartlepool players and so maybe this is a bigger contract to lure him to the southwest and maybe the captaincy is there as well.. Who knows other than DC.

I would be underwhelmed with Monkhouse after the supposed link with Harley but his experience may be important. I wonder if he has much pace about him at 33 because that's what we need from a wide player, surely? Still, he could prove to be a decent player at this level.
WCG, I got quietly excited about the prospect of Ryan Harley. Having looked into his situation at Swindle and the fact he may want to get his career going again in his home city I thought the move could be a go-er but clearly not. He is too good for the Conference after all.
Shame.

It wouldn't surprise me if he moved to either Tranmere or Exeter though for obvious reasons.

Just seen a picture of Harley talking to Julian Tagg the Exeter director at their recent friendly against Reading.

There were rumours from Exeter fans that he may re-sign after being spotted at SJP for a friendly which is why I thought we may have a chance with him. Their embargo would mean any move would be delayed and he may not want to hang around too long to get signed up somewhere. On his day a very good player and one I'd like to see in the quarters but I don't think it will happen.
