My regular spot on the East Terrace, certainly contains plenty of the 'older gent' who talks unprecedented amounts of bollox during a home match.

Disagree with the "Facebook generation" thing, I tend to find it's men over the age of 45 who have a problem with where we are and what we're doing. You'll never find someone under 35 criticise Clarke as much as those over 45. They think Randall was better than Lambert, Ska was better than Post-Hardcore and use the term "men's game" still and I for one have had enough. You do talk some real crap. Perhaps the under 35s you hang out with are oppressed by your peer pressure? Lucky for those between 35 and 45 that obviously have no opinion. Typical baby boomer, bought his house for £8 and bemoans young folk.

It seemed pretty clear to me that there has to be some range of overlap, otherwise people would wake up on a particular birthday and their outlook would arbitrarily change.

Certainly true. Where there used to be a huge gulf in the way our fans behaved and took defeat with grace and gallows humour, the Facebook generation are proving that it's a fag papers difference in between us now. I removed myself from all but one rovers related group as the venom, vitriol and bile are too much for me. When I go to games then it's always with the same bunch and we still keep that old rovers spirit alive. I know I must sound just like the old fart that I am but I find it very hard to read ANY fan wish injury upon our own players, that's how bad it's got. Disagree with the "Facebook generation" thing, I tend to find it's men over the age of 45 who have a problem with where we are and what we're doing. Have you seen the bristol rovers so called appreciation page on Facebook? If not then go on there and I rest my case. I was in there a few years ago, I think a youngster called Tom Vinall started it and with the best intentions but I've honestly never EVER seen such open threat, hostility and vile stuff directed at the team, manager and one another. I quickly removed myself and am very glad I did. It's a vile page yet has the biggest amount of people on it. It really does show our younger fans in a very bad light and the worst part, for me anyway, is seeing young women write and post such aggressive stuff that is above and beyond anything I could believe could come from the fairer sex. The one whose name is Bradshaw, writing about chucking bricks and making threats and others who back her. If that were the the only place to find anything out on Gas fans then I think we'd have none. This last week I was sent a screenshot of that page where people were wishing career ending injuries on Gaffney and Harrison. Not for me fella. I'd rather quit going than be a part of that but, luckily, we still have us older uns that can have a giggle without pushing it too far and not just sitting back and criticising everything others do while wishing to sell their own stuff. I'll give one example of the difference. I'll use me for it. I post under KP on here but made sure people know who I actually am. My posts on Facebook and twitter are under my own name and even when I occasionally post on the bristol post, I am easily identifiable. The people who seem to shout the most try to do so while never using an ID that will identify them. It took me a short while but I don't now post what I wouldn't say in a real life conversation. Yes, different generations will have their differences but the cruelty that I saw on the appreciation page and sometimes on twitter, it's beyond the pale as I see it. Just to add, I have a number of younger Rovers fans that fall in the 25-30 group who also feel the same way.

As I have witnessed it, there are a small bunch that like to criticise other video efforts, tweet abuse about the people who made them plus do little else but poke fun at others. They are also quick to make spiteful comment & I just think that maybe they should make their own videos & add music or do a fan video blog that others can then compare which is best rather than just chuck about the now dull lame old terms, such as belter and melt. John Thompson and Jake are two regular targets. When all is said & done I am grateful I was a part of the club before all of this. I always seen rovers as my extended family, a family that has been there when I've had family die, relationship break ups and diagnoses of life limiting disease. It's the one thing that has kept me close to sane and I will forever be grateful of that

It's a shame really as there are a lot of decent folk there too, and it has been great over the past couple of years as for games you can't get to you often get to see videos posted of our goals from the away end, shortly after they've been scored. Unfortunately you have wade past a lot of guff to get the good stuff! I've seen people on there moaning about the amount of coverage City get in the local papers and local TV, which is quite ironic when you see how much stuff is posted about City's fortunes on there ... I thought we weren't obsessed with them! I don't understand why Rovers fans go on their forum either ... I thought we weren't obsessed with them! Personally I prefer to focus my energy into supporting my team.

They have a big game come Saturday v Wigan. They've just sacked their assistant head coach and head scout but not squeaky junior. Deflection issues with Lansdown and Johnson, they're in all sorts of strife. Love it!!

So, it seems that maybe squeaky has had problems with possibly believing Pemberton was u dermining him. It's strange as the rumours we're doing the rounds a few weeks ago that they were going to sack Pemberton. It certainly is a clusterfeck down there right now and the team below them won tonight plus the teams directly above them have 2 and 1 game in hand. I never laugh too soon as they have been spawns but it looks pretty bad for them right now

Either undermining him or an incident - or both. Compare their recent slide with ours a few years back - We had Buckle who was taking us down so we replaced him with McGhee who saved us. Then McGhee was taking us down so we brought in Ward who saved us. Then he failed and we all know what happened then. They had O'Dismal who was taking them down (though he didn't realise as he didn't look at league tables ). They brought in Wurzel Mourinho who saved them, had a good season then was taking them down. Pemberton then Helium took over and saved them and now Helium looks like he's holding the black spot. Our relegation season was full of bad news rumours on the playing staff side - they appear to have a few problem children too. We didn't go down because of one bad season, we went down because of several bad seasons. Same reason why Villa and Newcastle went down last season. One of my mates has a great saying - if you hang around near the trap door for long enough eventually you fall through it.

According to the BBC Lincoln City have beaten more Championship sides in 2017 than either C*ty or Rotherham!

They bought one of League Ones top scorers with a view to playing in that league next season.

So how many starts has Matty Traitor actually had since moving to the 82ers? He seems to be spending an awful lot of time on the pine so far. Still, looking on the bright side he can now afford to pay someone to pull those splinters he's getting from the bench out of his arse rather than doing it himself.
Presumably with Tammy making his glorious return the chances of getting a start are further diminished.
Glad it's all working out so well for him. I wonder if he's starting to miss Darrell yet...

They bought one of League Ones top scorers with a view to playing in that league next season. That would be a very odd thing to do indeed for a club that was not in the relegation zone at the time. If true then it is bonkers - if Lansdown is as willing to throw money at this as he seems to be then why didn't they throw the kitchen sink at proven Championship performers? The Taylor move always seemed very strange to me from their point of view in every sense other than to piss us off - which might be a valid enough reason but given the position they find themselves you can't help but think that they should have had more pressing priorities than a 300K trolling exercise.
