...for me, none!
Never even been to the town. Hope to tomorrow though.
First time for us at the Reebock, anyone have any memories of Burnden Patk?
Safe journey, Gas. Let's hope for 3points..

Only those of a certain age will have visited Burnden Park our last visit was way back in 1990. My one and only visit first match of the season 25 Aug 1984 and an old fashioned Northern stadium with an Archie Stephens winner in a 1-0 game. Just 4469 there. Was the season with David Williams as player manager Slatter, Parkin, Holloway, Randall etc. We started season on fire with six wins from seven no goals conceded in first five league games.
Have been to Reebook to help in my quest for 92 club about 2008 recall a soul less place with their fans very critical of Gary Megson. Going tomorrow evening again felt they are the best side we have seen at the Mem this season.

Rovers played at Burnden Park on the first day of the 1984-85 season. My brother and I travelled by train and stood at the open end. Burnden Park had one of those pitches that seemed to be "banked up", like a crown green bowls arena. The stand at the opposite end had a roof that drooped, like in a Salvador Dali painting! Archie Stephens got the only goal of the game; it was at the far end, a close range effort if I remember rightly. I can't remember anything else about the game, but I do remember walking back to the station. We had a police escort, of sorts, for the first couple of hundred yards. Every few steps were punctuated by a question from some lads walking just alongside us; I'll never forget the question, in a strong Bolton accent: "where ya from, boys?". We just kept walking!
Footnote: The attendance was 4,469.

I remember going in the early 90's when they had a supermarket cutting out the corner of the ground. That rings a bell!! I think it was 1-1. My dad told me a story from the sixties when we went 2 up and their cop end emptied and headed towards our fans. Those were the days.

I would have loved to have visited Burnden Park to watch us play, but for whatever reason or other it just didn't happen for me. I absolutely love the traditional grounds like White Hart Lane and Goodison Park, but sadly even those two are now sadly under threat. But I have been to the Macron Stadium, although it was known as the Reebok Stadium at that time. But sadly not to watch BRFC play. I went to see a random game when Bolton were in the Premiership, primarily to see a Premiership game played in a Premiership stadium. The game was Bolton Wanderers versus Tottenham Hotspur.
Best wishes to all travelling fans tomorrow. Have a good game.

Only went to Burnden once with Rovers. I think we lost 1-0, and it's fair to say the locals weren't the friendliest. I went upon my own and walked into a local pub, and that bloke with the knitted quarters jumper was stood at the bar on his own, with everyone staring at him. He wasn't in the least bit phased about it, and although I don't know him, he recognised me from Rovers and said 'You can drink with me'. At the time I really wish he hadn't as I thought we were in for trouble, but they didn't do anything except stare at us and make the occasional sarcy comment. I remember I was dying for a piss, but there was no way I was going out of sight of the bar, so I just hung on! It was an odd day all round really, at the turnstiles, one lone Bolton fan ran up to a Rovers fan and tried to kick him in full view of a couple of coppers who chased him off. apparently he did it every week! Cant remember much about the game, we definitely lost, I think it was 1-0. I went to the new ground last season when they played Birmingham, it's one of the better newer stadiums, but it is in the middle of nowhere and on a retail park, so proper watering holes are pretty limited. I've made sure I'm working and staying in the midlands tomorrow, so I should only have an hours drive to make it ground number 170 with The Gas

UTG! Went to that cup tie. Eating fish & chips when a group of thugs appeared. Four of us ran for the nearest turnstile and entered the ground only to discover we were at the opposite end to our fans! Had to keep quiet and couldn't celebrate the two goals!

Might be wrong but I seem to think Robbie Turner may have made his debut at Burnden park. Did he score twice? Big ugly ground with massive car park I remember.............. Just

The same tomorrow night would be great! UTG! Went to the cup match by special train. Waiting on the platform after the game, manager Fred Ford and the players suddenly appeared on the footbridge and descended down the stairs to almighty cheering and chanting. Think they had their own carriage for the journey home.

My only trip to Bolton was to Burnden Park for the last game of the 1975/76 season. It was a night game, and, goalkeeper Paul Lewis's only league game for Rovers.
We lost 1-3. Alan Warboys scored for us, when we were already losing 0-3. Amazingly, it was one of only two games in which Warboys scored that season, from 30 starts plus two as sub !
Went into their Supporters Club before the game and had a large plate of really tasty mushy peas.

I was up there when we done um 2-0, Wayne Jones got the goals. Kicking us and stealing our scarves, boy were they pissed off. Bit of a giant killing at the time. Special train up with the team up the front.

FA Cup in the late 60s when Wayne Jones hit two corkers to win it 2-1. I once worked on a shutdown in Francis Lee's toilet roll factory in Bolton. Middle of July and he came in to see how things were progressing dressed in a sheepskin winter jacket with a gert collar. They say it's cold up north but that was taking it a bit far. I worked with a gang of Irish Liverpudlians and needed an interpretor.
After that I got another shutdown and we got it finished just before the midnight deadline. The bloke who hired us came staggering in to pay us off straight from the boozer pissed as a newt with a wad of notes in his hand, his white mac lying over the back of his shoulders and his toupée all skew-whiff across the top of his head. Never been to Bolton since...

Went to that 1989/90 match at Burnden park aged 19 with one of my best mates and as we were walking near the ground a coupe of hours before kickoff 6 of their Northern monkeys decided to give the 2 of us a welcoming committee which didn't quite go the way they planned it as we both gave a good account of ourselves then for a minibus of Gas from the horse and jockey Redfield to pull up and finish a few of them off with a couple of others giving it high speed daps down the road, watch out the Gas are here 😉💪👊🏻
