The last update was quite interesting and the one I guess most of us wanted to know about.
At least the house seems to have been put back in order

I am sure anyone can find out if they really want and I expect it will likely come out soon. It appears a lot has been sorted out (I guess with co-operation with the culprit) but please be careful whilst discussing the topic

am I being naïve in thinking that naming the ex-Treasurer isn't the issue, but stating that the ex-Treasurer is alleged to have pilfered some cookies might be the stickier thing - and that has already been done above?

Yes and no? No one has been named although said person could be identified via the position of they did, or didnt do it. That said, the make up of the EC and who is missing seems to be very telling

That the recovery of the remaining money is achieved via the sale of a property makes me wonder whether someone is under arrest while also losing his or her home, and the majority of its cash value at the same time. If someone greedily and wilfully stole to finance a life on a beach, then no problem. But I wonder whether someone was instead desperate. I don't know the former treasurer from Eve, but having looked her up, I won't be making any presumptive judgements.

I think they had to be pretty desperate, considering there was no way they would not be found out. It's not just their home they will be losing either. All pretty sad imo.
The perils of being in a trusted position in an organisation which seemingly has no real safeguards against temptation. Hopefully the new measures will remedy that aspect, at least.

I understand they had no real financial problems, hence why they've already paid most of it back, it is a real odd thing to do as surely one day the SC would notice £100K+ missing and work out who'd taken it.

"KP, the treasurer was the person who was allegedly stealing the money. Best not to discuss names here as criminal charges are pending." This is being a bit silly! The Treasurer is elected for a 3 year term, and I believe the last election was in 2014. That being the case then the name is published in several places on the BRSC website, including here, where you will also find the previous year's accounts: bristolroverssc.co.uk/2015/11/25/7-30pm-on-261115/ I won't mention the name here for the reasons others have stated, but if anyone really wants to know then the information appears to be in the public domain anyway.........(unless there was a change of Treasurer in 2016)

I just simply don't follow the SC news nor people in the committee and so was just asking who it was. I've had plenty of threat of litigation in the past and you can guess, very easily, from who lol. Luckily I now stay clear of these things.
