Thats true of course its just that our recruitment policy this season has baffled me,mostly loans and mainly kids and none of them established 1st team players except maybe hartley whose been poor in my view. It will be interesting to see if lumley, sweeney and partington do better than the 8 original signings. has worked for Burton Most of there players are 26-30 years old

Hardly a ringing endorsement to be able to name just the one though eh 10th in league one. That's my endorsement. Fair enough but the league is very bunched up and we need to keep up our home form. I will be missing at least the next two home games due to surgery and will be meandering the various sites, watching the TV and practicing spells to bring us victory and a play of berth. I can't knock DC even though his team selections seems bizarre at times. He has earned some balls up time as far as I am concerned. The man is very ambitious and has no time for even thinking of anything but going up. It's good to have that type of persona running the team

Boatang got man of the match and was dropped the next game. If you want a reason why loans don't perform, that is it. DC and his I must change the team every game attitude doesn't give any young loan any confidence. He should either play them more, or not bother at all. A good example Colkett on the bench at Charlton whilst the Dads Army midfield runs out of puff. DC gets most things right but on loans and goalkeepers he's caused a nightmare. Reason, having 28 players to choose from. If he only had 22 we would see a lot more consistency and probably a better team. Spot on fella

Most of there players are 26-30 years old So are ours! The mean average age of the squad is 26.
To prove my point about Burton, this season the've brought in 6 players age 25 and under, 7 age 30 or older, and only 4 aged 26-29. Out of all that lot, they've all been loans or free transfers, except for 1 player (Jackson Irvine).
Last season, it was 14 aged 25 and under, 1 aged 30 or older, and only 3 aged 24-29. They were all loans or free transfers.

I think we have signed too many players with little or no experience in mens football this season, ive felt at times we could have done with more know how especially in goal and in central defence. In fairness to dc he probably thought hartley would provide it in the defence but hes struggled in my view. Anyway it dosnt matter now because we have signed 3 very young inexperienced players and partington so hopefully they will do the job and it will then be obvious we didnt in fact need experience. In other words its a moot point now anyway.

We seem to be casting one eye next season perhaps with some of these signings and that is no bad thing.
If Burn, Partington etc come in gets a few games and gets used to the way DC does things for instance, hopefully it will help us to hit the ground running next season

We've been here before and to that quote is another, “If they are good enough, they are old enough.”
