Scored 3 against the gas with their only 3 shots on target that's perfection as a manager Fleetwood do me a f**kin favour they shouldn't be lacing the gas's boots buy a goalkeeper tomorrow it's imperative.

Mickey Mouse teams don't go 13 games unbeaten. . . . or force a draw in the FA Cup versus the mighty franchise, down at The Gate.

Disrespecting "smaller clubs" was the sort of mind-set that got us relegated out of the football league. We played well (by all accounts) but lost 3-1. These things happen. Well played Fleetwood.

Yes they do if they're called Fleetwood f**kin town these are the teams we need to be knocking over like skittles if we want to progress further look at Burton Albion they have now hit the buffers Fleetwood will do the same teams cannot progress infinitum on 3 - 5 thousand attendances.

But we weren't playing them in five years' time, we were playing them today when they're top 6 and in cracking form. Sneering at other clubs never was endearing but, given our recent history, now it's delusional and embarrassing.

They've a £7m training ground complex even Alec Ferguson was taken aback by the set up, they are, infrastructure wise, already where we hope to be in 5 years time!

I think GMT was referring to their off the pitch position and if I'm right I agree 100%.

It really does sound like this is needed, plus maybe yet another defensive player, if it's possible to get anyone decent in the January window, which I somewhat doubt. I hope this Partington chaps proves that it's possible.

I expect people said that about ex Premier league teams and FA Cup winners Wigan & Wimbledon when they got into the league.

This team and club ain't Mickey Mouse. When I turned up early last time we played there, Fleetwood players were arriving in their brand new Mercs. On entry to their new ground, they had high tech turnstile bar code readers exactly like Wembley. The facilities including toilets, large screen and corporate areas is forward thinking and far rom mickey mouse.....also, no one gets wet when it rains!
I wonder in comparison, which one of us can be considered MM?

I dont tbink it is unfair to want to be better than Fleetwood and in the longer term hopefully we should be, but to call them Mickey Mouse is an insult to them, given the resources that have been spent there, whilst we have spen the past couple of decades playing in a Rugby stadium and moving training bases every season.
Without the Al Qadi takeover we would be far more Mickey Mouse and we arent exactly in the grratest position to crow from the rooftops right now either whatever our success on the pitch.

- Better ground - Better training facilities - higher than us in the league - All accomplished in an area of the country with 4 PL teams within 50 ish miles so competition for fans ( and players)
Who's MM?
If UWE falls through we could be 15 years behind them never mind 5.

People who just equate a club's status in terms of attendances are belters. Period.
I would say that the Fleetwood owner has spent his money very wisely. We seem to be trying to follow that model, albeit on a larger scale.

By better ground do you mean more modern? a 5k capacity is hardly better than 12. They attracted under 3k of their own support yesterday so it'll be interesting to see just how far they get on that. I'd imagine that Burton have a better chance of attracting more support where they're located but I can't see them equalling Forest or Derby.

I'd imagine that Burton have a better chance of attracting more support where they're located but I can't see them equalling Forest or Derby. But the long-term potential of it all is their issue. As it stands, they're maximising every resource they've got (something we arrogantly didn't attempt for twenty years - come to that largely ever) and they've got a good set-up and a good team out of it. We've only recently earned a league fixture against them. I think respect is due, and outrage that we didn't beat them is 'misplaced'.

I think the perspective should be more like 'if they can do that with their crowds and history, don't we look mickey mouse with what we've done with ours?'

I think Fleetwood are a good club and well run. Probably their Manager also would not come cheap. I very much hope we will overtake them but at the present time we just don't know.
