Was very poor last night and considering how well he played last season,it's a mystery. His goals in our last game v Dagenham & Redbridge and at Carlisle were pure class. Even when at his mercurial best he always faded badly second half but his goals last season were vital.Surprised he was picked last night.Guess Jermaine will be back in contention Sat.Guess confidence is a factor and we signed him for nothing but there's a good player in there somewhere but maybe at div 2 level only?

Bodin is off form so far, I agree.
Difficult to remember he was playing against poor left sided 4th division defenders last season. The step up has been tough because like on another thread, his position has been tinkered with by lack of consistency in formation and personnel.
Also, he is meeting a more sophisticated opponent.
Maybe he just needs a match or two's rest to gather his thoughts?
I like him, he's got the physique and footballing brain to be effective this season.
He was touted as a potential centre forward last season (?), if he is played in the 'Boris' role (for anyone old enough to remember), I see this as a very unique, handy role. Get in DM to coach him personally..

You guys are absolutely right but what's the remedy? He won't get better not playing & we don't have a reserve team (as far as I know). Leave it to DC.

I thought he looked week last season until the last few weeks when he could do no wrong. This season he is worse than he was last season but hopefully he will come good at some point.

Were you at Morecambe? Bodin ran the show. Brilliant, they couldn't cope with his surging runs which created pace for others. That was around this time of season.

Remedy is I suppose be patient, give him support, keep his position consistent and most importantly help his development with focused coaching. Dc will sort it.

He's a hot streak player and the end of last season he was at his hottest! I back him to come good again but I'm not sure what'll kick start it

We can not afford to carry non-performers like Bodin (much as I liked him last season) or Gaffey Duck, who I do not rate. As we have said before, DC is too loyal to some players.

Too loyal?! Haha Christ So we're struggling near the bottom of the league & can't buy a win because DC plays his favourites all the time? What is this madness talk!

i dont think the 3-5-2 or 4-3-3 thing that dc has used this season has helped billy much, last season he had a good run on the right of a 4-4-2. im not quite sure why we didnt just carry on with that system initially from the start of games with billy on the right and adjust things if need be? i still believe he has performances and goals in him this season though

I think DC is doing it on purpose, is just keeping us around the play off position so that we don't get noticed too much and then for the last quarter of the season will turn the screw on the rest of the teams in the league to go on another unbeaten run with a fairly consistent team to sneak an automatic promotion spot in the last game of the season....he's done it before don't you know

Bodin is a very good player, just needs a bit of confidence and game time. I remember similar post's about a man called Lines once, they used to call him lazy but he was he was still learning his game in a very poor side at times with dressing room full of football politics. The difference is we have a very strong squad and Bodin always improves as the season progresses and DC knows best.
