Erection of floodlights will hinder my vision on my route of Henley to my parents place in Downend. The glare of the lights may dazzle me as I look for the turn off the motorway. I find this unacceptable and as a long term resident of South Glos I intend to lodge a formal complaint. The solution is for them to move back to Bath.

Floodlight permission given years ago, that's not what Rovers' application is about. Please try harder.

I must have asked sometime ago to be kept informed of the progress of this application because I received an e-mail this morning advising that approval had been granted ( go to South Gloucestershire planning applications ref PT16/4965).Cant post the link due to lack of pc skills! My only concern Sam is whether we have purchased the land or , possibly, be held to ransom by the owner

The "condition 1", which Harry's quote refers to, would appear to be cosmetic and easily satisfied, I would have thought. "CONDITIONS 1. Only such roofing and external facing materials approved in writing by the local Planning Authority shall be used in the construction of the building hereby authorised. Reason To ensure the satisfactory appearance of the development, in the interests of visual amenity and to accord with Policy CS1 of the adopted South Gloucestershire Local Plan: Core Strategy. 2. All planting, seeding or turfing comprised in the approved details of landscaping shall be carried out during the first planting and seeding seasons following the first use of the buildings or the completion of the development, whichever is the sooner; and any trees or plants which die, are removed or become seriously damaged or diseased within 5 years of planting shall be replace in the next planting season with others of similar size and species, unless the Council gives written consent to any variation.

So it will be approved as long as nobody calls it in during the circulated schedule period - usually a week.

I've a feeling that 'new condition 1' is a typo, as conditions 1-10 are not new conditions.
Condition 11 is the new one:
11. The site the subject of this application (within the red line) shall not be used for first team professional league or cup matches nor shall it be used for games/matches for which there is ticketed / paid admission.
I could be wrong, of course.

Very astute of you! Makes more sense, especially as the prospect of thousands of Gasheads descending on the area for first team matches was a concern expressed earlier in the document.
