factual it maybe, and while not trying to defend the guy for what he did, i find it pathetic to bring that up when the core of this thread is to congratulate wimbledon on their achievement not bring up some guys history, When you've had a family member seriously injured by a drink driver like I have, see if you still hold your pathetic attitude. Luke McCormick should NOT be playing professional football. That is the truth of it. No one ever truly understands this, nor illness or suffering, not until it affects them directly. Having said that I wouldn't wish these things upon anyone.

I can see where you're coming from but it's just pointless bringing it up over and over again at games. When you take your girlfriend away to her 1st away match and you end up having these 3 chavs from the same family ranging from a 60 year old dad whose teaching his younger 2 sons to shout murderer and pedophile to the opposing team wasn't what I bargained for. Safe to say it make us as a club look like the rest of the bunch, not family oriented like we claim to be. Hope she comes round to it and wants to go away next season. Absolutely pathetic!

Wimbledon FC won the cup. The supporters enjoyed it, but they didn't win it. And the idea you can 'transfer' history from one club to another is bollocks borrowed from America, in my opinion. What is a 'football club'? Is just a business? Or is it more than that?

I don't really have a problem with AFC inheriting the cup win - I think the spirit of the thing is correct. They are Wimbledon.
Although to be honest I don't think that really happens in the States anyway. The history stays with original 'franchise' no matter where they go (even if a new version of the original team is formed). So in American terms the credit for the cup win would definitely have stayed with MK Dons.

The Cleveland Browns (I think) managed to acquire the history of the, er, Cleveland Browns which 'rightfully' belonged to the Baltimore Ravens. Or something.

Yes, I think that was a one off though and linked to the extremely dodgy circumstances of that particular move which was barely legal and bungled. In other words I don't think the NFL fancied anyone looking into the details of the original move in any great detail so took the easy way out.
