The grass was sometimes left quite long
Best get it out of the 'pot' before it gets too long and hang it up to dry Darlo. Or so I heard like....

They could serve up some tasty stuff wearing that shirt.

Like the kit, the away shirt looks really good. Hopefully should allow our players to pick one another out better

They don't need shirts to pick each other out. Well-trained players can put a pass into the path of a player they know will be there without even looking. The old Liverpool one touch pass-and-move approach never failed. It does, however, need a well-balanced team of players who know the job expected of them and keep to their positions, who don't run around like headless David Luizes chasing lost causes, and, most importantly, one or two strikers to finish off the glossy moves with aplomb. Without that it's all a bit like looking at slug slime on a greenhouse window.

This is the proper way round for the quarters if you look at the original shirts from the thirties. The side effect is that the badge stands out against a white background. I don't agree - the first ever quarters were white top left, as you look at it. In the 30s the blue top left was only in for 3 years. www.historicalkits.co.uk/Bristol_Rovers/Bristol_Rovers.htmThe 50s were different with most years blue top left. There isn't much in it; however, white top left has been most common over the years. I think your view is formed from early days, and me watching in the 70s and 80s is probably why I prefer white top left. You've got a good point about the badge though. I was always told in 70s by old fans that the blue should be over the heart.....

I am sure there are team photos with half the players wearing quarters one way and the other half the opposite.
Basically It doesn’t matter. We have had many shades of blue, quarters round different ways and anyone who say one way is the right way or there is some sort of Rovers blue is wrong.

Tidy looking shirt,i think they'll sell a few. You are of course joking!? Awful shirt! Looks like a rugger kit! Luv both home and away shirts. Sure the club will sell loads. Definately buy an XL away shirt for the fuller figure, great for a night out in Gateshead. UTG

Yeah, that's what I'm saying about the 70s & 80s: white top left as you look at it, so blue top left (over your heart) as you wear it. As shown in that link.

Blue and white quarters home, white shorts and Blackthorn sponsor. Green and black quarters away, black shorts and Thatchers sponsor. Is it that difficult? Keep it simple, Gas.

Hence why many on here liked it! Suprsed Rovers2 didnt include grey mullet haircut wigs to complete the look Overcoming this handicap made the achievement of promotion even did more impressive. Duke of Beaufort my arse........
